Week 11 Prediction Thread: Texas vs. TCU...Are They Christians or Cockroaches

If TCU blitzes constantly Sark will kill then with our backs running it and short screens. I say that even reading on here Brooks may be out. We have fully capable backs to take up the slack provided we are smart enough to stick with it AND to not run the same play in the same situation.

:tcu:
Lowest % of arseholes in their (admittedly small) fan base, of any of our traditional opponents.

(maybe tied with Rice...?)

I have two predictions and will wait until Friday to delete one of them.

1) If Coach K continues to call for soft coverage and not pressure the passer in the fourth quarter then we are vulnerable to any inferior team with a decent passing game (like TCU for example). Horns 34 Frogs 27

2) If Coach K has an epiphany and sees the error of his soft coverage ways and decides to aggressively cover and pressure the QB forcing him out of rhythm into making quick decisions:
Horns 38 Frogs 17
With TCUs 2nd string, non mobile QB starting, unless Dykes is playing games, i feel option 2 will happen.
Expect UT to get 2 ints.

BDE 31

Unhoppy guys 24

*Reserve the right to change my answer if QE plays
I don't get this at all but it sounds like a drug related reference. So, I put you down for Texas winning because you would have to be on drugs to think TCU has a chance of winning.

I really do not know how to predict our opponents score any longer because of our defense. Texas is easy to predict. We have only scored above 40 once this year and have pretty much hung around our average regardless of who is playing at QB.

Texas - 34
TCU (running most of the time) 10
TCU (passing most of the time) 27

I guess I will settle on a happy medium.

Texas - 34
TUC - 17

Funny how differently we feel about Ewers returning now to play against TCU vs how we felt about him after playing them last year.

Wonder if these frogs are being underestimated a bit
I think we probably are underestimating them a bit. TCU has the 15th best passing offense in the nation. We let KSU, a running team, have 300 yards passing in the second half, and they came within a whisker of winning the game.
I think it will be closer than most folks do. But TCU's defense is not strong against running or passing. HOrns should win the game. Maybe not cover the spread, but Horns are just better up and down the lineup. Sonny Dykes is their biggest asset. His ability to rally the troops in games like this--where his guys are the dogs--is impressive.
