Week 11 Prediction Thread: Texas vs. TCU...Are They Christians or Cockroaches

I don't think the redshirt is even an issue at this point with anyone on this team who hasn't yet played. It's not like the old days where one play counts as eligibility. Arch could start the TCU game, play it's entirety and still get a redshirt year. My guess is he's not ready. As much as some on here question Sark, I don't. He sees him every day. He's been a player or coach for, I don't know 30 years. He's not perfect, but I don't think he's an idiot either. Sark wants to win. He puts the players on the field who he thinks gives us the best chance.
A player can appear in four games and not lose his RS, so unless we have more than four more games – which can only happen if we make a CFP appearance — Arch cannot lose his RS.

I believe that the decision by Sark’s to go with Murphy was partially strategic. I doubt that Murphy was ahead of Arch. If so, not by much. However, given that the Mannings are in no hurry, it made sense to push Maalik out there first.

I suspect that the calculation could be changing and I expect to see Manning on the field before the end of the year. Make at least an appearance or two. That is, unless we hear and see that Ewers is fully back, and/or Ewers is back and MM takes some strides, thus being a reliable backup.

IMO though Arch needs to see the field this year. He needs to get a feel for the college game “before” he has to try and save one.

Sark stated that Quinn is now "day to day" as opposed to "week to week" previously. He also stated that all players practiced today. He said that doesn't mean they will play, but it's a positive nevertheless.

Therefore all must include Catalon. Would really help if he can go.

I rather not have Quinn if it means re-injury. There's still 2 really tough regular season games after this weekend and who knows, it could be snowing in Ames.

I recall someone posted that Catalon practiced last week too for the first time.

The Texas defense has shown that it can stop opposing offenses - unless the Texas offense turns the ball over setting up the opponent with a short field. I don't see TCU scoring a bunch.

Texas 33
TCU 13

He specifically mentioned that both Catalon and Crawford practiced.

MM executes the script very well. Expected to be up perhaps 3 scores at half. 2nd half would be perfect time to introduce Arch.

31-7 Horns

I think even with MM starting we get this one in FW. The night games coming up make me aware, but not alarmed. Defense is our advantage…
TEXAS ~ 34
TCU ~ 17 (hoping defense comes to play)

Hey Sonny: how many touchdowns will the Frogs give up to the Longhorns?

if I am TCU I am stunting and blitzing heavily this game in an attempt to make MM hurry his throws or to make bad throws.
Make texas one dimensional by taking away the run game.

(oops I hope TCU doesn't read this)
