There are a few players (mostly Seniors) on this team that were part of the @ FayetteNam 40-21 loss the Horns experienced in 2021.

Perhaps these players will get the attention of players that were not on the team then and warn them what they will experience this Sat. Plus, I think we have to trust Sark to get the team fired up and fully focused.

I think it is critically important the Horns start fast. Limit penalties, turnovers and score! We cannot afford to start slow, let the hawgs gain momentum & confidence, while keeping the crowd in it and roaring.

I think it was DKR's assistant coach Mike Campbell that stated that playing @ Arkansas is like parachuting into Russia. I always thought that was a good way to describe it.

I think the intensity and Texas hatred ay be exaggerated. None of these kids were alive and only a few parents can remember when Tex v Ark was a legit rivalry. Now those games are like Brooklyn Dodgers v New York Giants.

Uh, were they alive in 21? And those stats would be interesting for 21 too. I will be very happily surprised if they don’t come out VERY fired up. While I never pick against the Horns I’m not the least bit overconfident we can handle them without our best effort. They bounce back after a defeat really well it seems.

Ewers stays hot and one of our backs goes over 100 yards. Ryan Wingo makes several big plays. Kicking game continues to under perform.
 
This is going to be a tough game. We'll need to weather a strong initial burst of tusk slashing and loud squealing from the home team to come out on top.

I really don't know about this game and which Arkansas team is going to show up. The one who has not been very good all year or the amped up one who hates Texas.

Do you know anyone from Arkansas with UA allegiances? Their hate for Texas the state is only exceeded by their hate of Texas the school. Despite their DNA strands looking like a telephone pole, there's a branch that gives them absolute hate for all things Texas.

I once had a customer who had a football on a shelf behind his desk and it had a script written: "My two favorite teams, Arkansas and the team playing Texas". This was long after they stopped playing. To this day I know Arkansas fans who have migrated to Texas, and they share the hate.

The hills are full of this hatred, and it will be back this week. For one thing, they can't get over '69. And the old timers have poisoned their offsprings.
