Week 10 Prediction Thread: Texas vs TCU...Me So Horny

In the confidence contest I made this my 10 or 11 point game. As the season has unfolded I wish I could go back and change that. While I think we can beat those guys, I am acutely aware of how capable they are of beating our asses too. I'm going to bet on us playing both halves of this game on offense and say

Texas 41
TCU 34

Ok. I normally don't make a prediction because I don't want to bring any bad juju down on the Horns, but that really hasn't made any difference this year, but if it goes completely south you can blame me. I am going to take a ride on the way back machine to Nov. 10, 1990 when a seemingly unstoppable offense came to DKR at night when Cougar High invaded Austin as the No. 4 ranked team in the Country. The Horns had no chance. Annnnnd, then the game happened, DKR was rocking like never before and a burnt orange wave swamped the fifth ward. I am feeling the same vibe here almost 32 years later. DKR will be rocking greater than 1990, greater than the second half against Okie aggy in 2005, greater than Bama this year. Please let it be.

Horns 45

Not sure why but I have had a real positive feeling all day about the Horns beating the Frogs Sat.

Agree with some other posters, I think our home crowd will be hard on TCU - on fire and loud all game.

The moment too big, lights too bright for TCU. We body slam 'em!

I am going to stay with my preseason Confidence prediction of us winning this game. That is not to say that I am still worried as hell that our defense will make this game closer than what it should be. I still believe we have enough offense to let us win every game.

Texas - 38

TCU - 34

Mine was an 11 on this… did not see this one coming either.

There is of course no way of knowing if this sentiment carries any accuracy. But no one is looking past TCU any more. And the pressure is on them since they are looking like they have a real shot at making the playoff. Will they crack under the expectations? Will playing the underdog role inspire them any more than they are always inspired when they play Texas? Hell I don't know. I picked TCU to win this game because I don't have faith in our defense and I think Ewers still plays like a freshman too often.
But there is a big part of my brain that can see a path to victory tonight. My hope is we remind those cock roaches who the Big Dog is in this state.

My fault. Bad juju all around. No more predictions for me. In fact, I think I will shut it down for the rest of the season.
