So happy for Gary Blair and his aggies. I hope they win the whole thing!

Gary has been nothing but a class act and his comments about Texas and coach G have always been positive. He has taken a 0-16 in conference program to a finalist program.

Unlike pat Henry, who has always talked badly about Bev and Bubba, Gary Blair is a coach I can root for all his accomplishments!

I am the only Catholic who hates Notre Dame. With that said, I would root for the flesh eating virus against the ags.

Shake down the thunder. I hold a grudge.

I like and admire Gary Blair, but I cannot forget all the crap I've taken from aggy during their brief periods of success.

On the other hand, I can't go for the Noter Dame, either.

I guess it's a good thing that I really don't get into women's sports that much, because I really don't care who wins.

Somehow Aggie will take this as success for their whole athletic program. I would like to see some legitmacy for the B12 in something however and I do like their coach.

Wonder how much more pressure this puts on Texas W Bball to get some success started?

While I like and admire Gary Blair, he's still coaching the Aggies. So I hope they lose. Petty, sure. I'll own that. But when you've lived your entire life rooting against the Aggies, who live only to beat Texas, petty is acceptable (smile). I really didn't think they'd beat Stanford. They did so now I must cheer for the Irish. I just can't fathom hearing a&m call themselves National Champions -- in any sport. It might make me ill.

I really don't know how to feel about the final. I guess Texas fans are supposed to root against the Aggies, and certainly I can't ever recall wanting them to win anything, but truth be told I probably like ND even less. This is clearly the pinnacle of Gary's career; he's been a HC for 26 years, and at three different schools, and this is his first championship final appearance. I'm not saying he won't get another chance - and as a Horn fan perhaps I shouldn't even care - but I've said all along I think this season is probably his best chance to win a championship. So - I don't know if all that means I'm going to root for the Ags, but that's the way I'm leaning at this point. Plus, McGraw and ND already have one NCAA title to their credit; do we really want to see them win another?

I'm rooting for aggy. They are representing the Big 12, our conference, plus Stanford's no longer in it. It doesn't matter to me if aggy would root for the Horns if they were playing and aggy was sitting home or if they would not.

I have little regard for ND, but less for ATM. Go Irish.

BTW, in case folks aren't paying attention, in recent years ATM has been racking up NCs at a much greater pace than Texas: track, men's golf and possibly women's basketball.

Dismissing these NCs as "minor" sports is BS. There is no reason Texas should not be kicking ATM's *** in every sport.

I am a fan of the GAME---the WOMENS' game--so I don't just drop in on this msg. board when it suits me in order to leave a nugget of spew against the Aggies. Just because they are Aggies. I know it might be hard for some folks to believe, but it actually is possible to really, really enjoy more than one team at a time. It is humanly possible to be incredibly devoted to a team and still enjoy watching the success of another program. Like BabHorn said, the Aggies represent our conference and our state. Most of my family members are Aggies, so I don't give a flying flip what anybody thinks about my rooting for them!

No. It's not. Rooting for aggie failure is part of my DNA. I hope they lose by 45 and then cry all the way to the bus. Heck make it 50. Maybe the Catholics can arrange for a halftime appearance by Jesus to fire up the team. Go Irish.

A&M is quite the Women's school for athletics in a couple of programs. They carry the school and what they hang their hats, er, bonnets on. Good for them. With their female population and Corps, their sensitive "touch a boy" fans will be happy. Gay is another word for happy, Corps.

After reading everyone's comments I still think I'm going to pull for the Ags. Of course I won't be devastated if they lose, but I've always liked ND A LOT less than I do A&M. Yeah, I know it would give the Aggie women another NC, but that hardly matters when you look at the overall success of programs like Texas, Stanford and UCLA. Okay - for some any Aggie success is too much - but the lady ags have won a total of 5 NCAA titles in their entire history - two in T&F the past few years, and three in Softball way back in the 80's. The Horn women have won 26 in seven different sports. I would rather see Blair win a NC than see ND and McGraw win their second.

A&M winning doesn't help UT in any shape or form.

While I do enjoy watching their style of play, they are one of our main rivals, and I certainly don't wish them any success. I doubt many (if any) of their fans have been cheering for our volleyball team during the last three Final Fours.

I think tonight's game comes down to whether or not ND's guards can handle A&M's backcourt pressure. From what I saw, ND is the better offensive team, but the Irish will have to contain Danielle Adams, who has to stay on the floor for A&M to win.

I just like this Aggie team, despite that they are Aggies. Reminds me of what Jody tried to do. I felt that Gary was giving her a shout out about defense winning championships. I think they have worked very hard and it just looks like a pure team effort. I liked the Notre Dame team, just not as well. Notre Dame can win it if they shoot the lights out. But the Aggies will make it very difficult. I also like how the Aggie fans have shown up for this team, unlike ours. I never understand how liberal Austin has abandoned women's basketball. Its just not "cool."

Good Job G.Blair and the Aggie Ladys. I have follow you since you Coached South Oak Cliiff High School Girls Basketball Team. And no one could stop SOC. You are great for the Womens Game. I am a big time Texas fan. But its time for us to cheer for this team tonite. Its makes the Big 12 looks good. Texas will be right there with AM and Baylor next year. But you have to believe as 1 of the Texas fans always show a poster on TV. I want to say her name is Julian.
Lets Go Aggies!

Shaky start for the Catholics but they're starting to get in a groove. I have to ignore the fact their coaches name is Muffet or I can't cheer for them with a straight face.

Irish handling that pressure after a poor start. Gotta like Diggins cool. Colson will have to be cool or she will foul out early.

Why oh why must the announcers continue to praise and laud UConn?? Memo: UConn is not playing tonight. And, why is the aggie coach mentioned by his full name or by coach and the ND coach is only Muffet. Well, finally they called her by her full name. I like Gary Blair but not the team he coaches. Sorry.

getting physical, just like aggy likes it. good game. Colson is playing smart and aggy is starting to run smoothly while ND is sputtering, not able to hit a shot.
