Was it louder

Texas fans were sitting on their hands on most all FAU 3rd downs. The Texas Fight chants were not anything to write home about. 98, 053 is the largest ever in Texas and it was not louder.

It didn't sound particularly loud on TV, except when they announced the aggy score.

We were on the west side upper deck and at one point the seizure-inducing "make noise' started flashing on the 'tron. I didn't notice that and just heard a really loud roar from the north endzone. I couldn't figure out what I missed..

For that split second it was loud...and seemed louder than I had remembered it being from that area at least.

Not that the arkie game will be any different, but come on...this one was a sleeper from about 13:30 in the first quarter.

It was noticeably louder, no question.

Even if the NEZ fans weren't as loud as expected, they were still louder than the west side lower deck, and all the sound from everyone else didn't just drift out of the north end.

I do not think it was any louder. BTW IMO the students have gotten a little out of hand with disrespecting the other team. Booing as the enter, not respecting their injured players, booing their fight song etc. Whats the deal?

Both sides of the stadium, not just the student side, have been booing as the other team enters the field for years, even though it is pretty dumb. The students booing the FAU fight song was rude, although thankfully only scattered. Nobody I saw was disrespecting injured players.

It really ticked me off when some of the people around me were booing during the FAU fight song. Booing when they enter the field? Stupid, but not unexpected. But booing the fight song was very aggylike IMO.

YES, booing is rude and unsportmanlike. Also , if I were one of the players getting booed, it would make me want to play even harder. Why give them an extra incentive?

Now , when they hit Colt out of bounds, twice, they got a resounding and justified boo.

And from the upper deck, westside, I thought when everyone was yelling, it was louder and especially from the NEZ.

ONE other point, I think all can stop complaining of the blue hairs leaving early. The stadium, in all sections, was half to three fourths empty in the early 4th quarter. I liked the singing of "The Eyes" in front of the new band location. Good pics from Godzillatron.

Booing the other team is rude? Are you ******* kidding me? Should we ******* cheer for them? Dear god, how about a nice golf clap? Hell, we probably shouldn't yell at games either. It might be too loud and the other team can't concentrate. Also, keeping score seems rude. We win by so much that the other team's feelings might be hurt. Go ******* watch another sport if booing the other team (which is more along the line good natured ribbing than anything else) insults your sense of decency. I hear badminton is really entertaining.

I honestly couldn’t tell you that it was that much louder, but I think we have to wait until the situation presents itself where it really needs to be loud.

And, yes, booing the other team is rude. Just because I have the decency to politely applaud the opposing team doesn’t make many any less passionate or avid a fan. I’m up on ever defensive play and screaming like hell on 3rd down.

Showing some class does not mean your a lesser fan. It instead shows your appreciation for the other players and coaching staff that spends just as much time preparing and work just as hard to put on the spectacle of college footbal that we all enjoy so much.

No it was not louder..This is Texas so rarely does it ever get LOUD. Unless you are sitting in the student section on the east side not many people get loud. I sit in section 7 and I can tell you that maybe 4 times in the past eight years have I seen more the 30% of the section yell FIGHT and I think that goes for most of the west side lower deck.

I was loud. Or at least I tried to be. First time sitting in Section 2. F bomb came out, was then told by a mother sitting in front of me to watch my language because there were children around. After looking around, there were. I had forwarned the couple behind me, as well as the father and SON sitting NEXT to me that I would be yelling LOUD during the game, and oh yeah, even the lady, husband and her daughter in front of me Forgive me if one **** comes out of my mouth when they hit Colt wrongly! It's ******* FOOTBALL people!! WTF!?

dahobbs - I considering booing your post, but I thought that would be rude.

Actually, I thought it was well thought out and I appreciate your perspective. But, I'll stand by my statement. I will continue to applaud the players that take the field. I don't see them as the 'enemy' merely an opponent. More than that, they are 17-21 year old kids that bust their *** all Summer. They honor us by taking the field. And, we should honor them.

Now, if they rough our QB out of bound. You can bet your ***, that I'm the first one up expressing my displeasure.

Booing the opposing team's entrance is unsportsmanlike. We are better than that as a fan base.

Lets show some class Horns!
