Vanderbilt game 3/3/24

O’Dowd quickly inserted back into the lineup after hitting a homerun. Kennedy having a pretty big error yesterday it’s understandable, probably same reason J Duplantier doesn’t get on the field, guys have got to work on their defense.
 
Thomas HBP, Powell bunts him over, Flores hits a double to score thomas, brown hits a sharp ground ball to 1st but moves Flores to 3rd and Schuessler hits a hr to the Crawford boxes, horns up quickly 3-0
 
2 out, Belyeu hits a soft liner just over the 2nd baseman. Belyeu continues to find ways to get on.
 
Bottom of the 1st and Howard starts us off with a quick two ball count and then induces a ground ball to Flores for the 1st out.
 
Howard was working ahead on the next batter but he singles to just beyond 2nd base. 1 on 2 outs
 
It was a tough pitch to hit, was a good pitch, was a weak hit but a base hit none the less.
 
Thomas grounds out to the SS. 2 outs. Powell singles with a line drive over the SS. 1 on, 2 out. Flores up.
 
ground ball to 2nd base and Flores makes the play to end the inning. on to the top of the 3rd.

Belyeu squared around to bunt on the first two pitches. I like it. Pierce should almost always sac the guy over to 2nd with no outs.
 
Belyeu squared out again and watched it go by, it looked low to me but it was called a 2nd strike. full count now.
 
whew, walked but another one that could have gone either way. 2 on, no outs. Borba up and pitching change.
 
Vanderbilt means business with this move...brought in
Andrew Dutkanych IV and i have no idea how to pronounce that.
