UT vs Texas State

Duke out in the eighth on the hill still.

Well ok if that was a make up pitch for Payton is a K looking.

Ty having a fit and yes it was high, don't know this ump as not Bilble, Chystal, Jenkins, Nutt. or Henderson.

A very real K is out two though swinging.

One hopper to Weis is out three to end the top of eight.

To the bottom half Texas leads 5-3 and I have to believe Knebel will go for the save in the top of the ninth.

Marlow is HBP barely to reach leading off.

Felts up to bunt and can't get down and K's looking.

Steinhagen to ph for Shaw.

So Ty counters and goes to the right hander to face him.

A righty throwing three quarter underhand comes in.
Steinhagen fists a ground ball to second that movers Marlow up to second as Steinhagen is retired for out two.

Johnson up to see if can continue his hot streak and score another big insurance run.

It looked like they pitched around Johnson and he walks.

Hall is swinging better lately too and now he is up for the chance to maybe ice this thing for Texas.

He K's swinging on three pitches to end the inning.

Texas leads 5-3 as Knebel is coming in to try for the save.

Knebel overpowers the first hitter for a swinging K. for out one.

Next hitter lines one to the gap in right center to the wall for a triple
with one out.

Ground ball is out two.

Knebel finally K's the last batter swinging on an eventful at bat with some interesting calls.

Texas wins 5-3 for 16 straight against Texas State.

Well that's too bad, I was ready for a Wyatt Workout. Weren't all
of you. Well maybe not.

Anyway it's a good win and hopefully the bats stay warm in Stillwater as we really need to win that series.

I think the two teams are pretty even with our edge in pitching and their hitting edge in the small ball park.

I hope French is ok to start, but that kind of injury is often lingering without some extended rest. Will be interesting to see. This line up right now with Johnson, Silver, and Hall has really helped the offense the last four games.

Here's to a great series for the Horns starting early on a Thursday remember as it's no game on Easter.

Hello win column. Good to get that victory - Horns are 15-9 for the season with a lot of baseball to be played.
