UT vs OSU Game 3 Video Link

Thanks very much for the video link!!!

I enjoy Craig but seeing it trumps 1300 The Zone's broadcast.

Weis with a slow roller to first that he beats out for an infield hit.

Payton is up and a pick off attempt is thrown away for an error on he pitcher and Weis is now on second.

Payton grounds to third and he tries to tag Weis and then throws out Payton. Ump says he missed Weis and he is at third with one down.

OSU coach out to argue. It should be noted we are working with only two umps as one had to leave on a family emergency. Two umps like the old SWC days.

While the coach is out there he makes a pitching change.

Yikes! Poke coach seems to feel that they tagged ol' EW. Erich's standing at 3rd so we have an overrule by a very competent Blue, coach. Head on back to the dugout.

The new pitcher is the starter from last night's game.

Hall ground out to second for out two as the run scored.

OSU leads 5-4 now with two outs and now Silver walks to put the tying run on.

Coach out again and another pitching change

Silver moves to second on another pick off error.

Steinhagen with a chance to tie it up and K's swinging.

That's the story so far today stranding runners.

OSU leads 5-4 to the stretch.

Thornhill still hurling for the Horns and OSU lead off man singles.

A sac bunt attempt fails as Felts makes the play to second for out one on a force out.

Marlow fields a grounder up the middle tags the runner from first and completes 4U-3 double play to end the inning and make OSU fans irate as they remember the non tag from last inning. It was an easy call this time.

After 7 innings OSU leads 5-4 and bring back their closer agan in this game after he was used in the first game today.

Felts leads off and lines out to right center for out one.

Marlow ground out to second for out two.

Johnson K's swinging to end the inning.

OSU leads 5-4 to the bottom half of the eighth.

Thornhill still out there and a ground ball to third is the first out.

A single up the middle puts a runner on first.

Skip to the mound and that's it for Thornhill.

He had a quality start for sure, but the 4 unearned runs in the first was a killer and may get him a loss without a comeback.

Knebel in to try to keep it a one run deficit.

Knebel makes the first batter look foolish and strikes him out swinging on a pitch a foot outside.

Fly ball to left ends the inning.

Last chance for Texas as OSU leads 5-4 after 8 innings,

Hall leads off and pops out to second for out one.

Weis lines out right at the second baseman.

Payton is the last Texas hope and he grounds out to second.

OSU wins 5-4 and sweeps the quasi doubleheader. They take the series 2-1.

Can't strand all those runners and give up a four run inning that all the runs are unearned.

Today is about as frustrating a day as you can have. So many opportunities missed and so many chances blown. For every step forward this team takes, it seems to find a way to step right back and sometimes even take two steps back.

Two series in there is no evidence this team will compete for the Big XII and a lot of evidence that for the second year in a row there will be no post season.

There is a lot of baseball still to play and hopefully better weekends ahead but it is hard not to be very down on this team when they let two very winnable games get away like they did today.
