I think he's your standard rabid libertarian who is open to having all range of folks on his podcast. He has some views on things like the moon landing that might make him seem more fringy than he actually is. A friend told me to listen to the Alex Jones one. It was like 4:40 minutes long. I didn't have it in me.

He's libertarian but also with many views that would put him closer to the Left than the Right. His politics are probably pretty similar to Andrew Yang's.

The reason why I say that he's respected is that he'll have guests who are from all over the political spectrum and has civil discussions with them. He's a good interviewer, and frankly, politics has nothing to do with that. For example, Ezra Klein is one of the douchiest and most smug leftists in the public discourse. However, I often listen to his podcast, because he is an exceptional interviewer.

The point is that Rogan isn't like Alex Jones. Yes, they are both libertarian in some ways (especially Jones), but Jones is a freak show. That's the big difference.

Yeah Deez. Rogan is a left libertarian which really doesn't make him fringe. If makes him a Democrat but that isn't gung ho for war. He isn't against big government, but he is for free speech. He isn't for Socialism, but is generally for environmental regulation, welfare state, etc.

He's a Democrat who doesn't like identity politics, overbearing political correctness, and believes in free thought and inquiry. In other words he's a Democrat who doesn't hate liberty and freedom.
