I thought we had an open border, bringing thousands of non vaccinated people in to the US. What is a couple more truckers.

It's the idea of what is good for one border should be good for another. Or is that true?

The Dems love unions but they've had much trouble lately with the police and teachers unions. Truckers don't want competition from Mexico so they will use any reason to keep them out. Unvaxxed Mexican truckers might have been a reason before.

Is it now?

So the Canadian Government will track everyone and take whatever action (freezing accounts, fines, incarceration, seizure of assets, etc.) they deem necessary. This is total authoritarian government (see also this: Ottawa mayor wants to sell confiscated Freedom Convoy trucks).

I believe within the next year or two, in Canada (and possibly the US) there will be a push for a digital dollar where the Central Bank will use programmable money. This takes the Emergency Act one giant step further. At this time, at least an individual can take their money out of financial institutions if they fear reprisal. But if cash is outlawed, and government controls the on/off ramp to digital currency, there will be little power left to the people.

The great Western Republics are increasingly being controlled by monsters. Will they be stopped?
 
Socialism inevitably has a horrible end. Canada is having a little taste of that now. 58% of Canadians believe in Socialism.

It seems to be like this:

We back the blue except when the government is oppressing us.

Government oppression is in the eyes of the beholder.

I thought Liberals loved unions. But they don't like the police officer unions or some teachers unions (Chicago?). Unions are unions. They act the way they do. It's all in the eye of the beholder and in this instance, when a union is in the way of a Liberal politician then the unconditional love for the heroic working man is suddenly forgotten.

The Canada situation is flipping over paradigms left and right. I wasn't back the blue in 2020. I recognized the abuse police departments are guilty of and was hoping for a broader debate about how to provide security for citizens. The Canada situation once again shows that government police departments aren't there primarily to protect citizens but to enforce government laws. Once the laws become unjust, police become the enforcers of injustice.
 
Watching Canada causes me to buy more and more ammunition while moving to safer, conservative cities.

The left gave us BLM which extorted the NFL and other organizations for millions. Millions which have disappeared.
 
I find it satisfying that libs gave to the communist BLM and got fleeced. I find it hilarious that libs actually believed BLM had any legitimacy.

This is a foreign concept for libtiles...they only accept one narrative and one path. Multiple paths is just something they cannot handle. So instead, they make things up and put them out as a single truth.
 
Normal traffic in DC is horrendous. Forget about LA, Atlanta is the only place worse than DC that I’ve experienced. So if these truckers blocked the Beltway in a number of key locations, that might spell some serious trouble.

If they were smart about things, then beyond the permit that they have arranged for, they would just slow roll around the area. If they are constantly rolling, to the extent that traffic permits, they are not impeding.

"Vaccination? We don't need no vaccination"

Neither do illegals crossing the border, so....Only Americans are paying a price here
