The DHS is getting worried: "The department said in a Tuesday bulletin to state and local authorities that the convoy could form on Sunday in Inglewood, Calif., where the Super Bowl will be played on Sunday, and travel to Washington, where President Biden is giving his State of the Union address on March 1, adding truckers along the way."

We're also missing the "hot chicks in skimpy shorts". Based on the images coming out of Canada it's mostly some overweight white dudes. If that holds true with this US protest it won't be as cool as the movies we grew up on.

It predated them by a few years...but took hold with the stupid and useless 55MPH limit. States out west didn't get you for speeding though...many would write a $5 ticket for 'excessive use of natural resource' or something equally benign.

Louisiana was bad about putting two cruisers side by side and running right at 55MPH border to border...later they would play the role of broken down driver with a trunk up, except smokey was standing between the car and the guardrail on the bridge with the radar gun pointed where you didn't see it until it was too late.

But it DID give us some good comedy for a few years of the CB craze...
