I guess if you voluntarily show up for that you are part of the cult.
I wonder how many football players are part of the cult?
I know the players phones are burning up.
Friend told me in some polls aggy actually dropped out of the top 25 !!!
Your topic borders on politics, so I’ll tread lightly. Where do you come up with “tsip” being homophobic? Isn’t it “tea-sip” as in an indoor man not an outdoor man?I don't know. It didn't seem as if the team was there.
Here is something I've always wondered about. My opinion is that UT is Liberal and A&M is Conservative (Old Sarge stuff). So why do African-American players choose A&M from that point of view? Why do they hear A&M fans using the term T-sip (which is potentially a homophobic insult) or calling Longhorns Liberals?
It's confounding to me I tell ya!

And, African Americans may generally have an interest in government and funding that would be “liberal,” economically, but that is a very different thing than “progressivism.” Lots of black HS football players are from small towns, and they resonate with church, momma, and Dairy Queen. They see A&M as closer to their upbringing than UT.
Isn't he always?Worst You are right
Sheep to slaughter. Well being led somewhere. Must be the boots.Aggy is just an example of "groupthink". All of them pretty much think, dress, and act the same. There hasn't been an original thought come out of that place in who knows how long, but they classify all their jack-assery as "traditions", or is it "turd-di-shuns". Best advice is to avoid the place like the plague.
This in contrast to aggy: generally more blue collar, trades people, ag / farmers, less refined people that drank a lot of beer. Don't know if aggy had the Corp around the time UT was born in 1883?
My understanding of where the Tea-Sips, Tea-Sippers or T-Sips term aggy uses toward UT (in the mid-1880's), was re: UT students / fraternities / sororities, etc. Stereotyped as mostly soft, entitled, white collar, society people that drank a lot of tea.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.
As someone who had the *ahem* interesting high school experience coming of age in Bryan, TX, the claim is that during WWII, the Corp of Cadets A&M students would be off at war while the UT students were “sipping tea” at home. (I have so many questions, WWII or Viet Nam? Sweet tea or regular iced tea.)My understanding of where the Tea-Sips, Tea-Sippers or T-Sips term aggy uses toward UT (in the mid-1880's), was re: UT students / fraternities / sororities, etc. Stereotyped as mostly soft, entitled, white collar, society people that drank a lot of tea.

Um, yes, have you not seen our drawing for this?I follow Texags religiously, even though they permanently banned me after years of candid posts. Every year it is the same: full of promise, a swagger like a conquering hero, reveling in the misfortune of others, exaltation at huge margins of victory over under capitalized foes. Then they hit a wall or trip over their dix and of a sudden the coach is a drunk or a fool and the qb should be wearing a dress and whatnot
every year
their jealousy of Bama and contempt for Baylor and Tech and primal loathing of us is almost genetic in its intensity. I enjoy it immensely
I drove back to Corpus after our game Saturday and listened to the end of their contest. There seemed a sense of inevitability in their announcers’ voices, full of hope and dread
when it was over I switched to Tech’s game with Houston and felt myself truly blessed, even though my favorites lost to Bama by a point
Notre Dame’s unpleasantness was kind of nice as well

That’s what I heard before I left for Austin in summer of ‘96.
I am sure they had recruits. Losing to a Div ll school is bad enough but you know even the recruits by now have seen the vids.

is SEC Rant a site?
I went to the last Aggy game and had the privilege? of going to yell practice the night before. Even then I didn’t see anything like what happened before App State. Will forever cherish the dagger courtesy of J Tucker. It was still heavy cringe and they do the dumbest crap. Remember hearing about how cool they thought they were for having male yelling dudes and we were Sissies for having chaps girls and cheer leaders? Makes you wonder…
Jimbo has to have someone to throw under the bus....again!Jimbo will NOT give up calling the plays. he has one of the best offensive coaches in college ball and demoted him because he couldn't fire him, and Darrell tells Jimbo when he's being is usual dumbass self. Jimbo promotes a "yes" man, puts him in the pressbox and pretends he's calling the plays
BMD Ags are figuring out how much they have to pay and when, but first they want to agree on who they get to replace him. Chicken or the egg situation. Define replacement or find the money?
We had problems the last couple of years, and CDC did a great job of leading the powers that be down the tightrope. Aggie problems are even more complex and may well take a lot longer to fix, if ever.
Oh, man...it's been over 50 yrs since I went to MYP. Hands down its the best show in B/CS...or it was then. It is so staggeringly stupid it is hilarous. There have been a few changes over time, but not many. The biggest problem with MYP is that you have to be in CS after mid-nite & that's when the REALLY WIERD mf'ers come out.You deserve a HF Medal for attending that event brother. I couldn't do it. I seriously would fake food poisoning or something else and and run away to my car!
Fat fingerSangre , you disagree ?
