I would be surprised if efforts aren’t underway to negotiate the number down to closer to $50M…still huge. I tend to believe that could happen because even with Jimbo’s massive ego, an individual — and their family — can take only so much grief and hatred before they look for a way out.

The question is, who would they go after? Would it be another big name like Meyer, or an up and comer like the coach at Kansas. The next question is, who in the heck would want that job? I suppose for a massive guaranteed payday, many would.

The culture at that place has to give even the greediest pause.

I guess I’m old school but I couldn’t care less what happens with this program. OU is our rival. Their only glory days the aggies had were during the time they cheated in the 70’s. They are invisible to me and I’m sad that we will play them again.
 
Won't happen, but I'd love to see Jimbo ousted, and Darrell Dickey made interim. Then Darrell, with his $750,000 salary, takes Aggie undefeated the rest of the year.

Aggie BMDs have enough grief, but knowing they had a guy making 5% of what Jimbo was paid was 10 times the coach Jimbo ever dreamed of being.

You heard it here first - Traylor gets a P5 opportunity; Kenne goes to UTSA, Darrell goes to UTSA or Incarnate Word.

aggy is fast facing up to the fact that they bought only a HC name, with a few skins on the wall...turns out they bought a pig-in-a-poke.

This monstrou$ aggy purchase to relevancy, is on the heels of Jumbo's fading days at Free Shoes University.

So far, his record is worse than his predecessor Sumlin. No bowl game this season will further piss-off aggy Big Cigars.

Aggy struggles and misery, Fisher rumors continue... at least lame Auburn and big W - U. Mass are still on the schedule and might be W's. LSU will continue the misery......

Some 2023 aggy recruits are reconsidering pledges to aggy. Big one today is 5 star LB David Hicks!!!

Therein lies the rub.
College football is changing fast and has always been somewhat of a massive enigma BUTT, aggie creates problems from whole cloth to add to the CF mess. Most other college alumni stop or slow down donations when results are poor. For some reason aggie seems to front end financing of coaches and now players before the recipes are proven and it seems to get worse w NIL and the proven coach approach. Jackie was an exception but for the most part, money whipping the proven next thing is just an aggie legacy.
