Thanks, guys. Doing much better at this writing. Truth is, 2 nites ago I was in the breech...didn't know which way it would go. Due to some incredible medical teamwork, including RN, RT, pharm & hospitalist I'm still here, obnoxious as ever (thank God nurse aggy wasn't around).

Been on statins 20 yrs. Doc says I would have been gone long ago without them.
I've also had the "Watchman" procedure. Highly recommended for anybody with Hx of A-fib to prevent 1st or subsequent strokes.

Isa, have you had Atrial ablation? Curious because I went through the discussion but refused the procedure. Just wondering about another person’s perspective.

Have not been abated. I think the Watchman procedure precludes ablation &, at least according to my Cardiologist, is preferred.
I HAVE been cardio-verted 3 times using 2 different techniques.

A few years ago I had a hospital stay over both kidney & gallstones. Pre-surgery I had nurse Goodbody taking care of me. The post-surgery nurse looked like a Romanian shotputter, with the bedside manners to match.

Nah, I just turned 73, and I still follow the crootin'. My family tree has longevity as well as early demise, so I figure it's a coin flip.

A true Angel in all aspects. I was speechless and could only wonder why she wasn’t in Hollywood or married to a tycoon. She had the face of Vivian Lee, the body of Raquel Welch and kindness of Mother Theresa. He was unabashedly flirting with her until his very peaceful passing.

Every straight man should have a 10 at the end. Others might have been happy with the aforementioned Brit, thankfully not Dad.

Y'all must be really surly. My nurses at St Lukes & Methodist bring me food and sit in my room visiting and watching TV. I have their cell numbers, birthdays, etc. In fact, I am facing to back surgeries and have reached out to them to make sure 2, 3 or 4 of them are working those days.

As one of them told me, "you say the things we think but would get fired for saying". Just amazes me how such overwhelmingly stupid people can run one of the nation's premier universities.
 
Well durn Guy, you know how to deliver the ultimate buzz kill. I knew my time was shortened after the heart interruption in 2022 but didn’t think my upcoming 77th was already in the ‘extended’ range.
