Today's press conference

Alexander the Great was perhaps one of the greatest military leaders of all time.
One of his habits was to meet with his generals and they would throw ideas out onto the floor all of them together and they would discuss what to do next Alexander value their input and I'm sure that many times he went with their decisions. Can Mr. Mensa do that?

From the pressers Ive seen. You can’t tell how TH handles his assistants or players. You certainly can’t tell he is a my way or highway type person. All successful people have some arrogance about them. It is synonymous with confident. MB was arrogant. Maybe not as much but these aren’t people I know. I’ve dealt with the press, you can’t tell them much because they assume too much. I think some fans are imagining what TH is like without true knowledge.

IMO, they should already being doing something like that.

For example, the coaches individually watch film of the upcoming team, with special attention to their responsibility - Offense, Defense, OL, DL DB's, WR's, ST, etc. Then ALL of the coaches come TOGETHER with TH to discuss thoughts, concerns, recommendations and brainstorm toward a cohesive strategy for a game plan. It's TH responsibility to communicate, coordinate and implement the plan.

I think Thompson transfers after he messed up and stuck around this year just to hold a clipboard. We will have a rehabing Card, RoJo who got no QB work this year and Sam as QBs.....I see a 6-6 season next year and a coaching search in Texas' future for 2020.

Have they stopped talking about Sam's (apparent) rib injury? Know it would affect his power running and (probably) passing accuracy......to a point.... coming back healthy next year, I'd expect for both to be back to 2018 levels....
omg....we are starting to sound like aggys….ugh

I don't think that's fair. With this oline and throwing in an injury that would hamper running and throwing, and the fact the backups are unproven, what would happen if Thompson was in? Several 3 and outs? Perhaps a loss to Kansas and Kstate? Just to have the "next man up" theory put in play? I'm not saying Texas is going to shock the world next year, but geez, it's not aggy (IMHO) to bring up logic...once again my logic, perhaps not someone else's...

Zucker....that was not directed PERSONALLY at you, I just had that revelation about ME....
REALITY, we are not able to have injuries and have perfectly competent people to step right in....therefore, we suffer.....until our depth is much better than it is, now....

Thanks for the clarification! The ags do have something good going (I feel), but, just like in Austin, the BMDs et al will have to have some patience. If Texas and A&M can keep up the recruiting pace they've had the last couple of seasons, LOOK OUT!!! Because that's what all the teams that are top 10 have been doing for several seasons...

Injuries.....
Either our guys are soft or fragile, or the training staff sucks. How can Baylor have guys get hurt with sprains and surgery and miss 0 or 1 game, yet ours miss weeks or half the season or more ?

" Why are you the right man for this job ? " THAT is what Bohls asked Herman...He didn't ask him," Are you the right man for this job ?"
Herman did not answer the question.... Bohls should have corrected Herman and asked it again !!!!!!!

I wonder why Herman didn't mention Urban Meyer when asked about people he looked up to or looked to as a mentor ? You would think a guy who won national titles would be someone you looked up to or looked to for answers to issues. Did Meyer and Herman not get along ? Just seemed strange he wouldn't mention him since his time at tOSU got him the job at UH.

Important factor: lack of quality depth.

Injuries will hit a team sometimes. The real question is: has the staff recruited and developed good (or at least good enough) backups to step in for injured starters?

This team has lots of problems - QB play is not even in the top 10.
After the LSU game, I felt that Sam had made strides in his passing game and specifically in his ability to hit a 25+ yard skinny post in stride. 4 losses later have proven me wrong. He still cannot look any DB off and cannot hit anything down the middle. To me, that is 4th or 5th down the list if you count "coaching" as 1 issue.

Onto Bohls... While I like the guy, his question was terribly inappropriate and he owes Herman an apology. Kudos to TH for handling it as well as he did.

There was no answer to that question. You don’t kick a man when he’s down and that’s what Kirk did.

Easy for Bohls to do since he’s never been up. Also, he’s in a public venue where no one was willing to teach him manners.

I'll be nice... . Bohls is a dick and has been for a while re: UT.

There is a young woman I visit in Ukraine a couple times a year.
Very nice.

I met this Ukranian woman through the Russian Children's threatre, my daughters are apart of it. (relax, they are 5 and 7). She is a yoga instructor, now I don't know if yoga is like martial arts but if it was, she is a yoga black bet. she can do poses I've never dreamed of. And she is about 45 but looks like she is still 25. She almost makes me want to take yoga.

Plus it's just a dumb question. How is TH supposed to answer that question?

My favorite Cops episode.

Also, leave it to “Kurt” bohls to make me sympathetic to Tom Herman. I have never really liked Herman, (and losing is not helping his case) but I would have liked to see him beam his water bottle off Kurt’s head for that.

whenever I get in trouble with Mrs Shilala, I start repeating that over and over. drives her nuts. She is trying to have a serious argument (or discussion) and I just keep saying loudly:

"Why my rights being reading? But why, why my rights being reading? Huh? Why my rights being reading?"

Try it next time you are in hot water!

11,

Who did recruit Harrell? NOBODY! He was a cancer MD Anderson wouldn’t take on.

Want to know Graham Harrelll, watch the Tech Gator Bowl against Virginia. The first half was the worst half of football in Tech history. Leach as much as said so in his halftime interview. The team bowed up, read Harrelll the riot act (something about Christmas in Anahuac) and Tech destroyed UVA in the second half.

Has he matured? Hopefully, but we have enough locker room problems without adding another huge one. Shame because he does know offense.
Bump
