Golf club or not, he could have taken her down if he wanted to. She would get some shots, maybe one or two but he could demolish her if he had an inclination to do so, especially in self defense. Things like public perception and such may not enter ones mind at the heat of the moment in maybe a battle for survival as an iron is being swung at you by an enraged spouse.

I think it actually speaks well for him that he did not (that we know of) rough her up or beat the **** out of her. He seems to have just wanted to get the hell out of there even with her in pursuit. If he can get away he could have gotten his own club or pummel her.

This could have gotten really ugly.
 
I wonder if he has a strong Pre-Nuptial contract. If not he will be looking at years of massive child support on top of losing a large share of his assets. I thought Earl had taught him better.

No, but I have had a man attack and chase me with a knife. He was unlucky to be a man, he got dropped. A woman, I don't know. My instinct to not hit a woman would likely kick in and I am hosed.

If she did anything to Tiger that wasn't induced by him ie an affair, or he was whacked out on pain pills, then she's gone. Tiger is cut throat and she will get the bare minimum that he owes her according to the law. Team Tiger won't have any of that **** if she's just crazy. She'll be back in Sweeden being a nanny before she knows what hit her.
 
Whatever the facts turn out to be in this case, you have to remain in awe of Tiger's unmatched skills. Do you know how hard it is to hit a fire hydrant and a tree in your own driveway?
 
I don't know who is advising him, but refusing to speak to the authorities is only throwing fuel on the fire and inviting people to assume the worst.

I know this shouldn't have a place in this whole conversation, but I never thought TW's wife was that attractive. I don't understand the whole craze about how smokin' hot she is (world's-richest-athlete's-wife hot, that is). There's something about her mouth and nose that looks funny to me. Add to that the possibility that she's bat **** crazy. Maybe I missed the bikini pics. I know, I know... I'm shallow.

Tiger's work ethic is still second to none. He still is the first one on the course and the last to leave after a round. He puts in so much more and it shows. Had Phil the work ethic and drive of Tiger he may not be a footnote in the history of golf as Tiger's play toy # whatever on the golf course.

You will find this sort of arrogance more often than not in athletes and maybe other professions when one is so dominant. Michael Jordan is not a nice guy, he's a bit of a prick, actually. Lance Armstrong, ditto. They have that extra extra gear that the vast majority of others don't have. Combine it with amazing talent and you get the perfect storm.

Are there exceptions, sure, there has to be. But Michael is the greatest, he is the chosen one. Tiger, ditto. Lance is off the charts a bad *** on a cycle. The elite of the elite are wired different and the act different too.

They are not bad people, they are just drawn that way.
