I am only pointing out that you don't need a certain number of recruiting stars next to a players name to win, which seems to be a critical issue with people around here. Now if what want to compare coaches this is the wrong forum.

Actually, I found It Hurts' post regarding Alabama OL "stars" enlightening. Maybe they cherry pick the 3 star hogs and the 5 star skill position players. You know Saban has a system for everything his teams do.

It would be interesting to do that analysis over time for all positions for all teams. That is the way to do a more meaningful analysis. So, It Hurts, we will await your further analysis which surely you can do in your spare time.

Or maybe there should be a "after college" star rating system to see who rises and who falls. That may exist in the form of the NFL. I am constantly amazed at how many "unknowns" end up being the stars of the league.

I agree that Mack has lost a lot of momentum at Texas, and is going to have a hard time recovering from the last 3 years. Hopefully he can turn it around and get us back in the national championship picture, but I wouldn't count on it.

Who needs those started players? Just means some chump played football in high school and wasted their time instead of studying. Give me a good walk on player, who's wants to prove himself and try something new. Just look at what the basketball team is doing - they use a bunch of walk ons too.
