The Santorums Scare Me

Bi apparently ONLY gets scared when a wife of a maybe candidate speaks of God's will
having BO speak of it doesn't scare BI at all. One wonders why

and we have seen in his many posts that he is no fan of BO <sarc>

Of course he's not a fan of BO, because he's a libertarian.

Do you guys seriously not see the difference between saying that the work that somebody is doing is God's will and beseeching God that he allow you to be an instrument of his will or are you just purposely being obtuse?

In the first instance, saying that something is pleasing to God is saying that you know what God wants/likes/prefers.

My former father-in-law is a minister. He prays to God every morning and every night to be allowed to do God's work, but he would never presume to speak on God's behalf as to what God's will is.

I think you ARE being obtuse.

One is a plea to God, the other a statement of God's preferences.

Bevo Incognito,

You are trying to play word games. By you refusing to respond to this question when you were all over other topics tells us you were trying to work on something real good. I just expected this much time you would come up with something better.

BI- Agreed that is weak ****. And you like Ron Paul and his position on God is scarier than both of the others. Yet you dopnt seem to scraed of him.

BI, here you go. Obama quoted a scripture in the Bible why the rich should pay their fair share. According to Obama, it's God's will.

What I bolded is not a prayer. it is a statement he made declaring that he tries to align himself with God's will - and that sometimes that will is very apparent and clear to him.

And I find it pretty funny that you consider a prayer to be a recitation of some words that you don't actually mean, but that just sound good. That's not what prayer is in my Bible. Having said that, I'll give Obama enough credit that since you have no idea if this is the prayer he recites or (which is more likely) that he is conveying the sentiment he puts forth in his prayer.

Your response leads me to believe we're going with dishonest on this one.

Prodigal, try to stay focused here. Just to recap this thread:

1) Religious Democrat = perfectly reasonable.
2) Religious Republican = some kind of dangerous nut case that is roughly equivalent to the Taliban.

Now drive through and pay at the second window.

BI, since you probably overlooked this I'm going to copy and paste it again here.

"BI, here you go. Obama quoted a scripture in the Bible why the rich should pay their fair share. According to Obama, it's God's will"

He actually quoted a prayer why the rich should pay more and more in taxes. Is this just a ******* PRAYER too when he said this?
