Do you guys seriously not see the difference between saying that the work that somebody is doing is God's will and beseeching God that he allow you to be an instrument of his will or are you just purposely being obtuse?
In the first instance, saying that something is pleasing to God is saying that you know what God wants/likes/prefers.
My former father-in-law is a minister. He prays to God every morning and every night to be allowed to do God's work, but he would never presume to speak on God's behalf as to what God's will is.
I think you ARE being obtuse.
One is a plea to God, the other a statement of God's preferences.
