I will begin by saying that I am not an Obama supporter, nor am I a democrat, or republican.

Once can argue the talking points ad nauseam, but the clear impediment to this entire process is the extremist tea party element in the House and their unwillingness to hedge on their idealistic viewpoints. Clearly they have tunnel vision regarding their own agenda and no concept of the term "compromise".

Boehner's transparent submission to this obstructionist group in a desperate attempt to save his speakership would be laughable, were it not so pathetic.

I have long been wary of most politicians - particularly at a national level - but I don't believe I have ever seen anything quite like this.
