The four freshmen

Oh, it doesn't bother me. There just aren't enough practice hours in a week to focus equally on all aspects of the game. Given the choice, I'd make the same decisions Barnes makes. Plus, I enjoy watching us frustrate other teams and having their fans consider the 'horns as nothing but a bunch of "thugs". (Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. Kansas is a lot more "thuggish" than we are, but that's not a fair descriptor for them, either.)

justhookit,

You might be better off either not reading my posts, or alternatively, not taking me so seriously.

I realize I come across as a really serious guy often on these boards, and I am truly full of myself, but I participate on this board for fun, not because of anything else.

I'll give you the motivations for putting up this post:

1) I liked the freshmen before they ever came on campus. I was pleased with each one when Texas signed them.

2) The three who have played have shown flashes of talent, and there are reports that the one who hasn't is making a full recovery from his injury.

3) Mostly, I saw Wangmene hit those two nice turnaround jumpers over Bryan Davis from about 8 feet away, Chapman do well in his 11 minutes with both rebounding and the little jump shot he converted off the offensive rebound, and Gary tying up Dominique Kirk from a double team coming off a ball screen --- and it gave me an impetus.

I still don't like how Barnes handled the team in the middle of the season. So what? As you sarcastically suggest, he doesn't care, but that doesn't change whether I'm going to develop an opinion or not. I'm going to develop an opinion regardless of what Barnes thinks about it --- or anyone else, for that matter.

I think I did a great job of not spewing it all over the place when the team wasn't playing well. Now they're playing great, and I don't have to feel bad about it.
