There has been no trial. No evidence has been submitted to prove that Flynn lied. DOJ has said they couldn’t get a conviction regardless if Flynn did lie because the evidence is so iffy. If it was so clear cut, where is the original interview report? Why is it missing? Why was the replacement edited by superiors? From Flynn’s perspective, he was having a casual conversation with the agents who he thought wanted some background info (which was intended by the agents). Flynn never felt he had to be scrupulous with his answers. If he did, he would have gotten a lawyer.

Here is your sooner logic: Flynn pled guilty, ergo he lied to the FBI. In your world, Flynn had to lie because that makes him look like he is covering up something bad, like doing a dirty deal with the Russians. The facts say otherwise. It is no crime to talk with the Russians and no crime to tell them to not escalate. If Flynn had misled the FBI on a non-essential call you wouldn’t give a rat’s ***. It’s the connection to Russia that matters, so he had to lie to keep the collusion fairy tale.

Coerced or not; when someone pleads guilty it appears they can retract it up to a certain point (when the punishment phase begins?). It also appears the DOJ dropped the case prior to the plea retraction being official.

Is that accurate?
 
It is my firm opinion, that in the absence of Democrats (moderates; conservative; not beholden to religious zealots or feminist extremism) that Trump is all that stands between a society ruled ruthlessly by totalitarian socialists (communists), open borders which will foster a feudal society and massive wealth transfers to buy votes and permanently lock in the dependent class and elites who will rule them. Warren and Sanders and their acolytes represented by Beto and AOC are in power on the Left. The Liberal vision subordinates our national sovereignty to the UN and will declare Christians to be a hate group all while giving religious fundamentalists from abroad a free pass. Radical angry feminists will attack everyone at will with militant political correctness. There is no braking mechanism for their ruthless OCD. Trump is all we have right now to stop them. We MUST have conservative judges on SCOTUS. Forget Trump's bravado and tweets. We must have more John Roberts' and no more Sotomayor's on the court. That is the reason for Trump because a Liberal President will appoint made as instructed jurists who will politically rubber-stamp the party's agenda just like they do in Venezuela. The only way SCOTUS will remain independent is with Conservative judges. Otherwise it's game over for our country and game over for the Constitution.

And the biggest travesty is possible changes needed due to climate change or a possible need for single payer type health care system is that they have been co-opted by the most vile political movement in modern American history. We must seize these issue and bring them back to the middle and rid ourselves of the disease which is Liberalism.

I'm still trying to figure out how much more evidence do people like Bubba need to figure out this whole investigation was a sham.
 
Interesting that the media has created another narrative in the Minneapolis death that this story is now being ignored. 24/7 coverage now of Minneapolis. Not debating that case. Saying that this country should be more outraged what happened in the Flynn case and how the FBI behaved vs what has happened in Minneapolis.

In new docs released today, Flynn told by FBI that investigation was over. So, who was the liar here?

 
I really think our society is confused on what government is and its purpose.

Part of the problem is we ask the government to solve every problem. The big problem is that government is an organization with a monopoly on violence. No matter what they do, you get violence. It is like spam. Whether you want it or not you get the spam. The answer is to attempt solve problems outside of the organization that always brings a side of violence.
