So I had to look Joe Horn up. Are you really using this as your example of the evils of gun owners? Two illegals that broke into someone's house and were, thus and rightly so, killed?

You should stick with the office shootings or somesuch if you want to garner sympathy. Anyone breaks into my house and threatens my family they'll get what they deserve whether they are facing me or not.
 
Satchel, sometimes you and Roger just come off as cartoon characters. You do realize that it is a lack of guns that inspires these idiots to go onto university campuses and commit the crimes they do. It is the belief that people are unarmed that emboldens criminals to commit crimes.

If any of these yahoos even thought that half the class had a firearm, they wouldnt dare attempt to try anything.

Do bad things happen? Yes! But guess what, thats life. Bad people will always do bad things, regardless of what laws are passed. Gun laws only strip the law abiding citizens of their right to defend themselves. The bad people will ALWAYS break the law.

Why is this so hard to understand? Our idiot politicians think that they can win the war on drugs, that they can win the war on terror. You cant any more than you can win the war on murder or stealing or anything else. But you can go bankrupt in the process.
 
I get it. You think because you own a gun and you're still scared, you should be allowed to kill with impunity, regardless of the limitations places on your use of deadly force by the law. Your fear puts you above the law.
 
Do you know anything about the Texas Castle law that came about because of the fear griping many gunowners in this state? Are you aware of how it was abused in the Joe Horn murders?
 
They would not have been very fortunate in my little Cul de Sac.........I think my entire little group would have grabbed their guns and aided in apprehending the thieves!!!

Try my neighborhood, that will be the last thing they do.......
 
Do you not get that Joe Horn's person or property were never threatened. Having been the presiding juror on a Grand Jury, I know that true bills and no bills can be hit and miss propositions.
 
I agree with Satchel. A body politic that finds no fault in gunning down two fleeing burglars who posed no rational or reasonable threat to a man who owned a shotgun, was alert, in a secure home and knew police were on their way values life to little and property too much. Maybe the unarmed burglars deserved a long prison stay. If you think they deserved death, I think you value life way too little Not everbody who screws up deserves to bleed to death in the gutter.

It's probably been 15 years since a Houston man gunned down a repo man in his driveway, hooking up his car that he hadn't made a payment on in months to haul it to the lender. The jury no-billed him. I think it bizarre and inhumane when you don't value a car enough to keep up your payments but are willing to gun somebody down to retain temporary possession. I hope to hell you don't have to be a liberal to feel that way.

Actually Satchel are you upset because the "white man" manufactured guns (especially handguns) so that the black population can eliminate itself through senseless violence and mayhem?

Just saying.
