The Cheering at today's game

We (Arkansas) love to hate Texas but that is on a Macro level.

I hate UT with a passion. Regardless, I would never be a prick to a UT fan outside of in jest on a message board. Hell, like I said in a different thread, I fell in love with Austin when we came down to play in '03 and my wife and I ended up moving down here.

There will NEVER be harmony in any sport between UT and UA fans but I rarely see it leak into more than simple trash talk.

It's not like any Arkansas fans have been ripping off the scrotum of a UT fan or anything. Since that happened, I've felt OU fans have raised the bar regarding what it means to truly hate a rival.

But again, we're not in Fayetteville.

Mr. Defensive guy who calls himself whocares2008,

Post all the pictures of SEC arenas you want. Your brethren certainly did when the last home and home series came up. Seemingly endlessly.

All I'm going to do is mildly make fun of you for it. Either you can handle it, or you can't.

So far all I see is a ton of insecurity, towards a fan base that doesn't really care about your opinion, trying to convince us of something we're indifferent about. This thread is composed of people making fun of Arkansas. They're going to do that whatever you post, and then when you get defensive about it, we're going to make fun of that, too.

For me, my stay here over the last 4 days has been fantastic, so I have nothing to complain about. However, that isn't going to stop folks from making fun of Arkansas fans on a message board, nor should it.

BTW, the Arkansas team tips off at 4:15 or so, while Texas tips off around 1:15.

All the tickets for tomorrow's games are good for both games, so I fully expect a bunch of Memphis fans in the stands, and they'll be rooting for Miami. I don't know how many Arkansas fans will be at the game, but there will be some, and they'll be there in part to boo Texas. However, there are going to be fewer than there otherwise will be, because some of them are going to want to catch the Arkansas game, and some Memphis fans are just going to be there to watch the second game.

Just want to second SLX. It's been a great weekend so far. We've been in the West End for Thursday and Saturday night's games, and Flying Saucer was decent for in-between sessions on Friday, with the bonus of catching San Diego's upset of UConn. Alltel Arena was surely built on the cheap, but is a nice venue for a city this size. The booing was lusty, but no different than when Arkansas played in Austin in '95.
