Texas vs Tennessee

Hunter is terrible.
Disu lost his shot.
Cunningham tries too hard to live up to the enforcer role.

Tennessee played good defense but we made way too many silly turnovers. Unless we shoot around 60% in the second half it is going to be tough to come back.

Sloppy game on both sides. If Terry doesnt make adjustments for the second half, this will resemble the BYU loss.

Tennessee is a strong physical team. Texas is not. Texas is trying to be physical but it takes them so much effort to do that they look disjointed. Disu is getting knocked off his spots by the more physical defense.

Half time thoughts:
Our guards have not protected the ball. Six turnovers from Hunter and Abmas alone. TN is more athletic, bigger and stronger.
Our guys are playing tough defense which is keeping them in the game.
TN is by far the most physical team I’ve seen the Horns play all season.

Classic TerryBall, this is what I expected.

We are one of the top revenue basketball programs in the country (#11), but can't expect that to continue with this abomination of a coaching job. One day the talent won’t come, even with NIL, to will us to 20 win seasons and a tourney appearance with a quick exit.

I’ll be surprised if Texas can keep this within 15. I apologize for being Debbie Downer, but it’s just frustrating that we can’t put together a more competitive team given the available resources.

One problem for the Horns is that the refs are letting both teams play bully ball. Have y’all noticed that one or two of our guys are on the floor every possession.
I don’t blame Brock for throwing that guy down—our guys are getting knocked down constantly.

No need to apologize. There is a lot of negativity on the board today - from everyone. It’s justified. The team is playing poorly, especially offensively. In both games, the announcers have said it. The pregame/halftime folks have said it. It’s obvious.

If you can’t shoot — and we can’t shoot — at least take care of the ball. But we can’t do that either.

Abmas doesn't get near the number of clean looks that he got at ORU. That's a coaching error. If a private directional school midmajor team can get a guard open shots, then we should be able to. We don't have movement; we have angry guards who force the ball and turn it over twice as many times as they score/assist.

Hunter’s ball handling woes are being exposed. Abmas as well to a lesser extent.

our guys are playing their guys out. No question about their heart. TN just so damm physical.
Lead down to 7.

You’re right.
