We definitely need to come out punching and keep the momentum going. They're without their big post player and we know what it feels like to be missing a key piece or two. They've got some good outside shooters that we will need to keep in check.

Sedona broke her finger last week so I doubt she'll be ready to play yet. That evens things up a bit. Take care of the ball and Texas will win.

Press article says Prince will be out about 5 weeks. However... with Jones, Gaston, Moore, and Muhammad I don't think we were at a disadvantage to begin with.

Texas should win by 20 - especially with Prince out.
My hope is we get and keep a big lead; and Holle and Gonzales each get a couple of breathers. I agree that Texas was a favorite even with TCU playing with Prince. Without Prince, it could be ugly for TCU unless Texas lets up. Don’t need that to happen.

Definitely need to put the pedal to the metal and keep it there until we can rest some folks. I don't like to look ahead but... I've had Saturday's game circled in red ever since the schedule was released.

I just hope Madi and Shaylee's turnovers come down. (after I hope we win of course...) We had the "traveling game", then we had the "can't get it across the timeline in 10" game. We seem to have trouble when they are tired, but still shouldn't turn it over due to fatigue. Madi seemed really discouraged by it, I would love for her to be feeling confident and happy with her own play, she is doing so incredibly well.

Maddie is playing so well, the award givers have decided she no longer qualifies for freshman notice! She won a Big 12 POW and an Ann Meyers weekly notice for last week’s play. In both cases, the FOW award went to someone else!

Hoping to see improvement in some areas tonight. I consider each game a progression; not all problem areas will be fixed in one game.

I'd like to see us play better defense against the opponents best offensive player. Seems like we allowed Tech's Maupin too many open shots, and WVU's Quinerly was also getting too many looks. Then again, that's why those 2 players are considered their teams' go-to players. And, Quinerly for sure was a tough matchup for our guards due to her elite quickness.

TCU guards blowing our doors off. Good thing they are shooting poorly.
We're getting turnovers. But we're shooting just as bad.

Normally I don't do this but we have one referee that seems to be against us. Gate that is part of the game. VERY inconsistent in how he's calling it. Not sure if they showed it at the break but Vic is fit to be tied. I thought he might get a technical between quarters for the way he was expressing his point

Gonzalez with 6 of our 10 turnovers so far. How do you play 5 years of Div I basketball and don't value possessions better than that?
:cursing:

End of 3rd Texas with 12 turnovers (Gonzales has 7, Booker 1)

Rebounds even at halftime and even to start the 4th

bAiler gets destroyed tonight at KU by 21, but I'm not sure how much that matters when we play like we are playing tonight. We do control our destiny now, but have a long way to go.
