Texas vs Maryland Game Thread

Given time, Sam can over or under throw anyone by 10 yards. Zero touch. He threw and absolute rocket right to a receiver 12 yds away for an incompletion. No touch at all. I was all in to give hime his freshman year learning curve but it appears he's not learned much. If he is the clear starter over Shane then I really worry about where we are as an offense and expect we'll easily lose 6 or 7 yet again. And we dont have a great punter to save our a$$es night in and night out.

:puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:
Herman is just bullheaded. We don't have Alabama's offensive dominating line for the run game so we should be quick-hitting passing attack until we get there with runs mixed in.

I do not know all that much but I thought the last series could have included a run or 2. There was time for it,. Could for instance Ingram have gotten some yards AND gotten out of bounds
I do not blame Sam for all the last series.,

From 2010, we have gone --

5–7
8–5
9–4
8–5
6–7
5–7
5–7

7–6
53-48

And this season does not look like it will break the cycle
Seems impossible we could be this bad for this long
Talk of (yet another) coaching change will do nothing to help
I wonder how Del Conte looks at it?
Thanks for the history post!

Bottom line.
1. We don't run the ball.
2. Our D can't stop on 3rd down. Almost always have busted coverage or a penalty.
3. Play to competitions level. We aren't good enough to just show up.
Assuming we beat Tulsa they will play well against usc and ou.
The o line pass blocked pretty well. We started passing right off the bat so the running game was never given a chance. If the above 3 simple things are corrected they would win most games.

Ok I got one more before I drink this game away. This should be served tomorrow to errrbody ...

outcome is yet to be determined, but can we just show the offense game film of App State against Penn State?

My answer is that we have the same team as last year. Expect similar results until all strong recruits are gone.

My oldest and dearest friend of 50+ years suggests Tom H needs to go back to the titty bar for a refresher course. Can't say I disagree.

You may be on to something here. Seeing the postgame presser maybe Herman needs to get a lap dance and loosen up a bit instead of him insisting the team is tight. It seems I recall we won our last natty after Mack admitted later that he loosened up and became a coach instead of a dictator thinking his way was the only way. I'll pony up a few dances if someone wants to make the call to Belmont.

Does he care where he is coaching?
No, he doesn’t. My biggest concern with the TH hire was arrogance. The man needs to be humbled. After last year and today, I’m not sure it’s possible. I hope the Kirk Bowls of the world keep pressing him. Maybe he’ll get the message. But maybe not. The time for HC ***kissing is over.

I’ve never been a fan of his character. Now I am beginning to question his competence.

Looks like CdC can save some money for the buyout by canceling the SEZ build-out. It is going to be a while before DKR sell-out's start again.

This. He is the worst kind of *******. A .500 *******.

Clearly he is just passing through so he better not give us a scandal during his time here.

Then again, maybe it'll give us cause to fire him without a buy-out.

On that thought, go hit the Yellow Rose Tom Herman. Take some HS coaches, hell, take some recruits! Be sure to use the UT credit card!

I know we don't want to play "musical QBs" but I would like to see Shane get the start next week, and then get Rising and/or Thompson in for a few series of their own. Hell, just let guys get in there and see what they can do. Maybe we stumble upon something special. It (probably) can't be worse than what we have now.
