Didn’t expect them to win it all this year but didn’t expect this at all. Been inconsistent in a few games. This has been a team that just didn’t have the right chemistry. Saying that, they still won a lot. I think this will help the staff pay closer attention to their transfers and what the fit will be with the team.
 
Cochran and VanLith could have beat us tonight all by themselves …wonder what Sonya said to VanLith as they shook hands? VanLith looked annoyed, but then she always does. Onward to next year. :hookem:

Yeah I definitely didn’t expect them to win it all but I also didn’t expect them to roll over and accept a beating by Louisville. There was no fight from anyone beside Harmon tonight including Vic because I am confused as to why Holle was guarding HVL so much in this game. Defense, free throws, and missed layups made this as bad as it is. Sum injuries really just caused us to be inconsistent all season so hopefully we get players from the portal and hope this never happens again.
 
Welp. I didn't think they'd lose like THAT. Now we wait to see what the team looks like with the portal. Interms of players coming and going because there are obviously a ton of unknowns right now.
 
I'm not glad the season is over, but I am glad the season is over... if that makes sense. This has been a tough season to watch.
 
Not unhappy to have this season be over. It’s not that we lost. Losing games is going to happen. Not sure why we have to raise losing to a new art form. Yeah, Louisville played great. But we also played horrible. Like just horrible.

Fouling and getting us on the line is basically like causing a turnover. Absolutely no offensive threat. And we have great defense? Didn’t see it tonight.

Sorry. It just was a lousy game.

Now to see who transfers out and who transfers in. I’m sure we have some movement.

They probably know each other from previous years and years of games.
 
Man, I hate to see Rori in pain like that. She plays so hard all the time. I sure hope it's not serious.

I can’t think of anyone who transfers out because everyone saw a lot playing time besides the freshman but they are freshman so that’s understandable.

I can’t even think of anyone who might leave. As long as it’s not Harmon or Moore then I am okay. No offense to anyone else but those two are the franchise tags.
 
Looking back on the season Texas missed that veteran leadership. We needed a player like Allen-Taylor or Warren to settle everyone down when things are going bad and we will need it next year as well so hopefully some players step up or Vic brings in someone who can step into that role.
 
Most frustrating game I’ve ever attended. I thought the refs took us out of the game early and we never recovered. It was one of those nights where not a single bounce went our way whether it was a layup or a rebound. I thought the Texas fans were great hanging in there but let me tell you it was exhausting to be there.
What a strange season. I sure hope Rori is ok she was in a lot of pain.

Van Lith is a punk and needed to be called out. Its one thing to be confident, its another to be cocky. I guarantee you she said something she shouldn't have said and Sonya wasn't gonna play that, especially in her last game. She (HVL) reminds me of a Mulkey clone.

Rori, Taylor, and Shaylee are literally the only ones that would totally surprise me.

Shay probably belongs on that list too but I can envision a world where she’s ready.

I don’t think AMo would transfer. But again it wouldn’t totally surprise me.

I could see anyone else making that decision. I don’t think they would but I’ve been shocked before.

As someone mentioned, we missed the senior leadership of JAT and Warren. Begs the question about why some of our transfers out last season did so…
 
No question the better team won tonight - the way Louisville executed, I’m not sure we win with our “A” game. We have been so limited due our injury situation and lack of guard depth. We had little room for error.
I’m very proud of the team’s perseverance this season. Also, very hopeful for our future. We will get players back from injury, influx of freshmen and pick up a player or two from the portal (hopefully with speed)
Also, given all the adversity this season I thought Vic and his staff did a great job. They never let it diminish expectations and that’s why he and his staff are winners
 
The Drake game was the first time I saw Van Lith play in person and I came out of there with one word to describe her and it was cocky. Tonight didn’t change my mind so I’m not surprised Sonya had something to say

Yes. Their team reluctantly exchanged handshakes. Sonya held Van Lith’s (sp?) arm and leaned in and said something. It didn’t not go well and nearly caused a brawl. Did I mention I love Sonya?
Their players (like their coach) are hard to like - a lot of showboating, waving “bye bye” to fans at the end.
Earlier their coach was cussing and yelling at the officials at the scorers table because he thought the score was wrong. He told them “get your sh*t together” and “stop f^*king this up.”
I may have told him “quit acting like a child.”
I liked him better when he waved and smiled at me and told me “you’re a fine person.”

I'm interested in how the rehab of the freshmen with knee injuries have gone for Codio and the freshman who came early. One thing that I think we didn't have this year was that big 2 way guard with the ability to defend other big guards like Van Lith, but also attack them on the other end. In the portal Era we know live in, it wouldn't surprise me if anyone transferred out.

Maybe someone like @Moooooo will start a thread soon to run down and discuss the roaster as of right now.

It was nice to see the likes of the Sarkasians, Rodney Terry, Vince Young, TJ Ford (people I laid eyes on in my section) supporting Texas women’s basketball. It’s a shame it was an abysmal night at the Moody.
