Texas vs. Kansas State: Game Thread

Run game, wildcat and intermediate passing game together with the occasional stop by the D and we’ve got a chance.
 
Did we really call a designed QB run with no time outs on 3rd and 8? Looked like JWhitt broke open from his break.

That was ridiculous that we had rush the FG team on the field like that.
 
To the Casey doubters, I have to say that the kid continues to impress me. Sure, on the pick he held the ball too long and shouldn’t have made the throw — that’s a throw that perhaps Justin Herbert, Josh Allen or Rogers can make, but this guy has been playing with at least one (and probably more) key injury — and behind a suspect OL — since the RRR and he’s still putting it all on the line.

On that drive he was almost concussed yet he’s back in, running, to help his team. I’m a fan, and have been since I saw what he could do in the Alamo Bowl.

Boy do I agree. While some guys may not be playing hard, there are plenty that are. I just think that Kwaitkowski is not doing them any favors by how he positions and schemes the players.

Somewhat surprised he was able to go through protocol that quickly. Makes me wonder if he's actually going to be able to go for the 2nd half.

If he's not, I hope our staff has studied 2015 Baylor and has something ready (whatever else you can say about Art and Kendall Briles - and I'd say plenty - they well illustrated how to quickly come up with a viable rushing attack despite the lack of a QB that would lead a defense to stack the box.)
 
Jatavion Sanders was the top ranked DE (also played TE) in Texas and a top 20 national recruit. I know he is now only a TE, but amazing that he cannot get on the field given we only have 2 receivers that can catch the ball. And zero ability to generate a pass rush.
