Texas vs Iowa State

Ok, I have to admit I thought Kane and Danarski would do more for Iowa. Never, in my wildest dreams did I think we'd be holding them to single digit scoring.

Good game for sure (amazing what making shots will do).

I do think sometimes Rori could shoot more. And I wouldn’t hate to see a bit more movement on offense.

But, you gotta love the result today.

We will just have to accept that players from our team and the opponents' teams will miss games this season. Out of everyone's control.

Luckily, we benefitted tonight. Regardless, this win will count as a Top 20-25 win in the eyes of the selection committee. And, it counts as a regular Big 12 conference win (with no asterisk). That's all that matters.

We still had to play well offensively and defensively to get the win, and it sure seems like we did.

Here's a quesition: Ebo didn't play - did we miss her? AMoore, Deyona and Latasha were pretty impressive. AMoore learning the college game and Deyona shaking off the rust. Latasha getting more comfortable. I like what I saw from all of them.

Seems like Shay has hit some 3-pointers against some of our toughest opponents (at ISU and at A&M, maybe some others). That has to be great for her confidence; we definitely need her to shoot (and make) those as she is probably a player who will be left wide open compared to the other 4 players on the court with her.

We crush teams like that. We also play so much better when the refs let them play. Shay needs more minutes. Moore is going to be so good when she gets the feel for the game down

She has been good every time I've seen her. I don't see her as often as I think I should. Would like to hear from Vic about that.

Well, she's a young player; so, I'm sure she's made mistakes, most likely on the defensive end; if you do that, Vic will pull you, especially if he thinks it's due to a lack of effort.

I think we looked a lot better in the post with out Ebo. We looked better in rebounding and offensively.

Like I said… Bill who?
Bill Fennely is his name, and he is one of the very best offensive minds in the game and an outstanding coach. I like ours better, but I’m certainly not delusional enough to think having Joens out, who is arguably the best player in the Big 12 didn’t make it a lot easier for us. With Joens it would have been much tougher.

Sorry Bob but to agree with you is to not give credit to what our Ladies accomplished tonight. We came to play Iowa State, not one or two players. We have been great on the road all year. And the idea that after all we have been through to NOT be vaccinated is just sad.
