Texas vs. Iowa State Game Thread

This team has quit on Sark. I thought the argument with Josh Moore might have been a sign of life for the coach and team. But it was the death throw.
 
I'm done tonight...we punt with 4 min. left in the game.

I'm going to go get a shower to somewhat cleanse myself of this filthy loss. I don't want to hear all the bashing and negative post game stuff.

Be careful, you're starting to follow my line of thinking, but there are posters on this board that think he's better than VY. I have said repeatedly that he can't read the defense, holds the ball too long, telegraphs his throws, and generally has no field awareness. I doubt seriously that he will portal because you have to have somewhere to portal to.
 
Is the cake baked yet? The binder says that winning is hard and wer’ee almost there with complementary football. We’re close to breaking through. Close.

Buddy at work swears Card is next VY. I've told him nicely he is full of s..t.
 
I believe that Sam Ellinger was the spark and carried this team a lot more that we thought. Too bad he left, we sure could have used his leadership this season.

Need to burn it all down. No unity. No fundamentals. No linemen or any linemen recruits in the pipeline. No leaders.

I'd rather go 0-12 with all underclassmen if there was at least a glimmer of hope for improved leadership.
 
Just flat out awful. A terrible product. Poor results. All lip service and no evidence that the team is learning or getting better.

Questionable if we make a bowl game now, as remaining games ate not gimmes by any stretch of the imagination. The players and coaches are not getting it done and it’s painful to watch. Our rival teams are loving this, btw.
 
That pass over the middle Card threw to nobody would have been enough for me to pull him. I hope CT is hurt cause in my mind there is ZERO reason to not have put him back in. Sad.
 
Well I didn't care much after the last few loses, now I don't give a damn.

Is the coach is good or bad, players good or bad? Don't know and really don't care anymore. I am going to just roll on and not devote anymore time in them, kind of like this team and trying to fix problems.
Adios and good luck but this year is fuxated for sure and you should really do something else on your weekend.

Maybe Sark will coach them up this week, win out for 7-5, beat a nobody in the Texas bowl for 8-5.
 
I stopped watching in the third quarter. I do have to admit that I didn't t expect the complete disintegration that was tonight in Ames.

What makes it worse is that there is absolutely no easy answer. The problems of entitlement, poor talent evaluation, and even worse talent development have been building since at least when Colt was sent on an ill advised option left in 2010. None of these things are automatically made better by constant staff and scheme turnover.
