Texas vs BU

WOW... I knew we were capable of being better than Baylor (or any other team in the country for that matter) on a given night, but I didn't expect that it would be tonight in Waco. Great regroup at the end to stave off the run that you knew Baylor was going to make. I'll probably have to apologize to all the neighbors for all the foul language I screamed during the fourth quarter. Ariel, Brooke, Joyner, and LaShann really showed their stuff tonight. :coolnana:

Who woulda thunk it? Horns beating the Bears on their home court. Hope their classless booing fans enjoyed the game. And those announcers were awful. Had to mute them.

Announcers were clowns. Blown away by the team's play. Wore out our floor pacing. What a game.

Sweet, sweet win! Ended their home court winning streak in the process. There will be some bitter bears over this one. LOL

I think they would understand lol

I saw a Baylor team that reminded me a whole lot of a Husker volleyball team we played in December in Columbus. Cocky and overconfident but not really doing that much on the court.

BTW y'all, I have a ticket to give away for the home game against BU. I'm scheduled to be out of town. :( Let me know if you're interested.

I bet its going to be a very nice bus ride back to the ATX smiling faces and a head coach with the biggest smile u have ever seen
Cancel the bus and get three decked out stretch limos to bring these women home! Hell I'll even pay for it! Okay not really 'cause that's against the rules, but I will up my donation next year!

Our bench was key & won this game...Lashann, especially...Joyner MAY very well go down as the greatest in Texas history when it is all said and done...Brooke with her 1,000th point tonight, as she was on way to kicking Baylor's butt!! How sweet it IS!! Aston is a GENIUS...:hookem::bevo::bow:

The announcers clearly were prepped for a Baylor win and didn't know how to adjust. I did like how the refs called this game. They didn't let Kim get her way. They let the ladies play ball.

I have never seen any team under Aston so mentally tough! They just have that confidence and strength to take charge under any circumstance! And the key to it all is Brooke! Gotta love me some Brooke!!

Horns up for utfannforlife with the recipe for success prediction.
As complete of a team win as we've had all season. Gotta use this and stay focused on the tough road ahead. Trips to Tallahassee and Norman make me a bit nervous. But today proves we can play and win anywhere in the country.

Horns up for Joyner absolutely showing out tonight. I was a bit nervous with coach choosing to put the ball in her hands down the stretch, but she delivered. Hell of a game all around. From the coaching game plan, to the on court execution.

If anyone is interested in a good laugh to cap off their night, head over to the Baylor forum. The mix of self loathing, excuses and denial makes for a good laugh hahaha

Re-watching the game... Atkins was knocked down so many times I am shocked she can still walk poor thing

If you want to fall even more in love with Brooke McCarty rewatch the end of the 1st quarter when she nails the three...and then watch her reaction when she gets back to the bench. Pure joy to watch.

I have to say I wasn't sure we would win. But with the stream of upgraded players and coaching these last few years from Karen and the staff, it all came together. My wife and I agreed that the last piece in the jigsaw was Joyner joining the team this year. Without her, the losing streak would have continued. Yay Team!
