Statesman says Krueger is a setter. I think she’s a libero. Believe Horns will bring in another setter.
 
Watched the Under Armor all-American game this afternoon. Vande Wall is a 6 rotation monster. By far the best player on either side. Spears, Harvey and Krueger all played and did well. Not like VandeWall. She’ll be a superstar and immediate starter this next season.

Read an article ove the weekend and dang I can't find to repost. Anywsy coach mentioned the next year's team was going to be very young.
I'm guessing that's an indicator that we won't be very active in the portal. Making way for Spears and VandeWall to get sone major court time.

I was a little confused about rotations. Spears didn’t start and played MB and was a little disjointed. For clarity…I only watched 1-1/2 sets. It was hard to keep up with subs which was unlimited. I finally got tired of trying. Krueger looked good as starting libero.

So im guessing she is coming in as a DS ? Can't imagine she takes over the L spot moving Halter back to DS. But after the head scratching decision to bring in Carlson last year....who knows.
Gary had some pretty nice numbers at Indy.

One good thing. She will have an in state Indy homie in Halter to hang with. Which should help her comfort level .

lol she didn’t play middle the set she got was a combination play designed for her.
 
Vander Wal is going to be a beast and I expect her to start immediately based on her ability to pass alone. Spears has a heavy arm and can take over a match but is not the best passer right now. I could also see her starting just like Skylar Fields did her first season.
 
Sources with portal access are reporting that Torrey Stafford -All American first team OH at Pitt- has signed with the Horns.

Agreed.
2 time AA and a 6 rotation player. Add Ramsay Gary and we added 2 top experienced player at positions of need to pair with a Super incoming class of freshmen.
 
Gary and Stafford are both great gets. Jerritt couldn't have done much better.

I watched Pitt a few matches and the one thing that stood out to me was that both Babcock and Stafford attacked from anywhere on the court, even back at the service line. That is huge considering all the free balls our opponents got when our OH wouldn't attack unless the set was perfect up near the net. Just pushing it over to the other team's setter was a disaster all season.

That alone will mean those 5 set loses won't happen next year. Although we'll definitely miss Averi's serving. Ella really needs to work on her serving in the offseason.
