One potential issue about this tournament's format...teams can stack their pitchers on particular days to pitch against the tough teams. I'm not saying that's what has happened these first couple of days, but our hitters sure made the Mizzou and Tech pitchers look like first-round draft picks.
Who knows. Perhaps Mizzou and Tech (and maybe even aggy on Saturday) scheduled their aces to pitch against the Horns because that gives them the best shot to win. So far, if true, that theory is 2-0 in favor of the bad guys.
That's what makes the NCAA tournament (save the super-regionals) so great, especially Omaha. It is a straight double-elimination bracket. With exception of the first game for each team, you don't know who you're going to face in subsequent games. It makes "stacking" pitchers more difficult.
Venting.....Every game counts in some way or another. Our batters have been either really bad this year or really on their game. Our pitchers have been pitching their arms off. A pitcher can thrown an amazing game and still lose because there is NO one hitting the ball or fielding. What is this, oh this tournament doesn't count crap? Pride in how you play the game does count. Maybe we have just had two games that we had no control over..that does happen. Please always have Texas pride whenever you take the field. It does matter to some of us. This team has been amazing and their record shows that. This is not the time to slack off, you're too good for that.
