Ladies tennis loses 4-0 to the number one ranked Bears but sent 4 singles matches to third set and battled for a while to keep Baylor from getting that fourth clinching point.
Sweep in baseball and we will call it even I guess.
Looks like Augie wanted a fresh arm to face Baylor's pinch hitter, Chris Slater, who is .586 on the season with two outs and 12 of his 17 RBI also coming with two outs.
Once again, the Zen Master makes the right call--Thomas induces a grounder to second, which Etier handles and throws to first for out No.3.
Kempf on for Turley. He did fairly well in relief against us last night, if I recall.
Yup--he and Turley combined for 1.2 scoreless innings before giving way to BU's closer, Pinckard. Hopefully, our Horns won't waste any time in getting to him today.
Interesting situation here. Chance is your closer but he has already worked 4 1/3 innings this weekend. Do we see him in the ninth or do we stick with Thomas. Stafford hasnt seen any action this weekend and might also be available should Chance come in and run into trouble.
I'd rather see Chance rest....I'm more interested in him dominating in June...I'm really hoping this staff isn't peaking...but I'm not complaining about em either.
i;d like to see us close this out w/ Chance of the mound
i tell you what. i love our radio announcers but im sick of hearing about "insurance runs"
just fyi for those not listening on the radio...we havent scored less then 9 runs in a sunday game or lost a sunday game in big 12 play.
i think we have a pretty decent team here.
