No doubt those were the best UT defenses I ever saw. This team hasn't faced a stellar offense yet and I am a little concerned with the lack of push in the middle. DB's are playing exceptional as well as the edges.
 
I love to watch Arch play, but we lose experience and ability to make the right read when QE is out of the game. On the positive side Manning is a better run threat and more accurate on the long ball. When the first or second read is open Manning shines. Helm didn't get chances with Arch throwing.
 
Three games in and Texas STILL doesn't know good it is. SEC has shown real averageness and the B1G has been exposed, especially after Touchdown Jesus torched Purdue and a mediocre Alabama squad torched Wisky.

The Big XII doesn't look good unless you want all offense and no defense...

We cannot blame parity on the portal. Consistency just isn't there in any of the conferences. The Florida programs are ready for new coaches while aggy crows like they were world beaters.

Even in the Texas game, many things were exposed and that discounts the change that came with injury. Stupid penalties will kill this team against stronger opponents and MUST be cleaned up...

When I watch games now at home, I have a list of things to work on during the commmericals (wash dishes, pay the bills, etc.).

I agree we need QE for a title run.

If there is such a thing as a “good time” for this to happen then this may be it. With ULM and Miss St coming up we can probably win with Arch and Trey at QB. Then a bye week which is huge for us going into Dallas.

Nobody knows if Quinn will be good to go by then but I think conditions are favorable for us, all things considered.

Probably? Texas could beat those teams with Cole Lourd.
 
Gio, may sound crazy but most of the time when at the game commercials are covered with on field activity so do not seem nearly as burdensome as on tv where there is no other distraction. Now don’t get me wrong it’s not always the case there are times where the teams are standing around waiting for the ‘go’ signal but it’s not as bad as you think. Having said that, I’ll readily admit I hate the delays and was doubly ticked this year and last when they talked about the rule changes to ‘speed’ up the game only to turn around and increase the length of commercial breaks.
Also, errant throw aside Quinn was having his best game ever pre injury. I am praying he is back by Oct 12, well earlier so that he is ready for that game. He is ready this year to lead this team so much more than he’s ever been. Arch is no doubt the best #2 in the land but today Quinn is far more advanced due to experience and pocket presence.
