Kinda agree, but play calling and leaving Ewers was a killer.

There’s not a game I’m not worried about. I’d say that 2-2 down the stretch is very likely. Hope it’s not worse.Hell, I'm worried about the Frogs in Austin!
No doubt we play better but who knows. Just should have been done as I teaching/coaching move.we win with Card.
I thought Sark said he plays the QB who gives us a chance to win. Certainly not Ewers today.Card should have been put in out of principle. You stink - you sit on the bench.
Thanks WM, because of your great news I just hung up the phone with crisis hotline! Some good news:
#1 Lady Horns Volleyball crushing WV @ Gregory Gym!
I was totally against putting Card in behind a line that couldn't hold their blocks (or make their blocks) against Memorial Middle School's 8th grade team. Subbing a guy that can't get rid of the damn ball was not the answer UNTIL I learned that Ewers tore a fingernail off his throwing hand. That, however, did not influence WRs making bad reads and/or running the wrong routes. Neither did the bad finger cause nonexistent OL blocking. Tom Brady would give a below average performance behind that line.
When did this finger thing happen? During or before game? Heard he was throwing with a glove before in warmupsI was totally against putting Card in behind a line that couldn't hold their blocks (or make their blocks) against Memorial Middle School's 8th grade team. Who knows, but I read it as Red wanting to know what the hell is going on.I guess 3 star receivers from DFW need the ball thrown at him 10x per game
Cain was mostly laughing at it. But it's not good optics esp in a loss
I thought the players had great effort in 1st half. The 2nd half was a shitshow on offense from the fist snap.Kinda agree, but play calling and leaving Ewers was a killer.
One senior and the rest are 50/50 freshman and sophomore (including the backups). We're playing three freshman OL, correct? Plus a QB who is, however gifted, playing his first true away game since his junior year of high school.
I like to moan as much as the next person, but we somehow have to have a coaching regime in place long enough to build a culture and a solid pipeline so that we are not stuck starting 40% freshmen on offense. The fix this program needs is large and of a multi generational problem. The team needs to learn how to win, including how and when to step on the other guy's throat.
It would partially explain the floater balls landing in no man’s land or out of bounds. Was a bit beside myselfNot sure when it happened - day and/or time, but my understanding was before today.
Agree^^. He was off, in a very weird way. Not even trying to hit receivers in tight coverage who were open. And i saw Sanders open over the middle more than once and Ewers seemed not to see him and throwing the ball away. He was this way from the first possession. He looked ill to me. Like he had the flu or something.Sark should have adjusted - Q was off, especially on long throws. Focus on mostly short stuff to keep the chains moving.
Maybe he ate too much of whatever the hell it was he ate that was the topic of another thread.Agree^^. He was off, in a very weird way. Also, he was not that accurate on short passes. Better, but still not himself.
Yes, and We are also playing a defensive backfield riddled with freshmen and inexperienced sophomores. We're playing three freshman OL, correct? Plus a QB who is, however gifted, playing his first true away game since his junior year of high school.

Play calling was fine. Execution from Ewers was a killer.Kinda agree, but play calling and leaving Ewers was a killer.
Our D backfield is riddled with freshmen, as is our O line.Ewers is one of 3 QBs since 2000 to not complete more than 20 passes with more than 45 attempts. So despite historically bad performance, you are still up multiple score multiple times and loose. As many improvements as PK has made with defense this year (and they are measurable) I’m not sure he survives this one. I don’t like calling for heads after emotional losses, but there is demonstrable problem with the scheme when 3rd down and longs are so bad. And they got hung out to dry again even with Texas getting multiple stops when they were needed. 3 or 4 and outs after stops in tight games are not acceptable. Plenty of blame to go around. It’s going to be a long two weeks.
Indeed. There were 4-5 plays where he launches the ball into the stands with no pressure at him yet. Like we gave up on the play too early when you still have time for a guy to come open.Agree^^.
