Texas' NCAA 2024 Tournament

You want the Horns to face Swamp People or Land Thieves?

I prefer SP, but suspect the Horns get blow-u!

I'm having deja vu all over again ... remembering the volleyball natty and how we steamrolled through the Final Four. Let's do it again!
Dream in orange, Hornfans!

Best of three; Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
So a team coming into the finals with a loss — which will be the case for Florida or OU, but not Texas — gets to have that loss wiped and start clean for the finals?

Why should we have to beat either of them twice? it's ********.

That is the bastardization that is ESPN. Remember that worthless piece of **** Friday night game in Omaha that cost us probably three National Championships, particularly the storm delayed, extra inning game against oSu & Ward that ended about 320 in the morning, and then we had to come back on Saturday on no rest?

All for TV,

Was that the 3 AM game? I thought there was one with oSu in the mid 80s. I'm probably wrong - the memory ain't what it used to be, but the being too lazy to look it up will linger forever.

1989 CWS, Texas and Wichita State in the final. If I remember correctly, it was a double-elimination tournament, but single-elimination final somehow (somebody correct me on that). Wichita State had a loss but Texas didn't, and they beat us (once) in the final for the championship. It was a crappy deal.

Same as moving from the regional to the super regional. Each round you begin with a clean slate.

Dion,

The game I'm thinking about, we were undefeated, but had to play a meaningless game (played every year) on Friday night for TV filler. It stormed in Omaha delaying everything. Between delays and extra innings, we wound up playing into the wee hours and lost the Championship game Saturday. I would have sworn it was Ward because I liked him about as much as I much Chandler and Frazier (???) with the convicts.

Dion,

My buddy that I went with said it was 81, and it was only 12-13 innings but seemed like 23 because it was so late.
