TEXAS-KSU Game Thread 2023

Settle down Texas and play like the better team that you are. Refs won’t help so play around them. Clear PI on the sideline pass that was a touch! SAD.
Beat the team you should beat.
 
Maalik started out so damn good but really regressed. Badly. I went from "quin can go ahead and portal" to "this probably won't end well for MM".

Before sark turned his nose up at 20 -0, our defense looked like the 1983 bunch. Total dominance. Like the UH game, Momentum changed and they're just hanging on

It shud be 20-0 at the half. A) take the 3 points B) run the ball to kill the clock. Why is it all these spread/air raid/pistol/etc coaches think that the fundamental rules of football do not apply to them?
 
The last near interception shook Murphy’s confidence. He looked like he was guiding the ball on those last couple passes instead of trusting his arm and making the throw.
 
I continue to be underwhelmed by Sark’s decision making. The fourth and two should’ve been a field goal. We keep fumbling on the redcat but even so, that probably wasn’t the right play. Then, with a minute left and a freshman quarterback who is obviously turnover prone – feast or famine – we throw the ball two times from an empty set, ensuring that they get the ball back. We were very lucky they didn’t get a field goal out of it.

This game should be well in hand, but we’ll see. If Murphy becomes a turnover machine, we’re going to have a problem.

Disappointing end to the first half. Longhorns were totally dominating KSU, then the mistakes gave the Wildcats a chance to get back into the game. Need to refocus at halftime

You know, that empty set was interesting. Sark is setting up something else to be run out of that.
I think Malik may run out of it before the day is done.
 
What a diff in 1st qtr MM and 2nd qtr. at game so haven’t kept up with thread but we went from putting this game away to oh s*** they’re back in it if we don’t get our s*** together.
