We banged inside against them the last game...they adjusted. Time we did the same. Guards need to be shooting. Right now Jak and Amina are second in scoring.

Shay shoots 40% from the 3, so yes she indeed gets a defender on her.

She looks much better than she did against TCU but I think those minutes Saturday helped her get her sea legs.

And yeah, the refs are crazy tonight.

But there’s no excuse for…
… not being able to break a zone.
… giving up drives to the basket and not being able to defend against the back door cut. Like if we’re “so good at defense” why the hell can’t we manage this. Our “good at defense” isn’t doing it right now.
… managing the game once you see how refs are calling it.
… leaving them open for threes!
… have a 3P shooting strategy this horrible.

I fully believe these refs are wilding but our team isn’t great at not letting one bad thing turn into three/four/five.

Vic, have a system, okay. But then know when we have to make a change and be willing to do it.

Still, in Vic I trust. But this game makes me salty.

It is weird the way we are not making any effort at all to get a three or even any outside shot. That's not normal basketball. I think they know what we're going to do. If anyone had doubts about needing Morris, they are surely gone now.

IMO, this game is worse than our Tech loss. We've never been in this game. Glad Jak is having a great game. Total meltdown for everyone else, including Vic's game plan.

Yes. This. I’m sure we are too. But damn EVERY WHISTLE that doesn’t go their way they’re pissed. And then every time we touch a player they scream for a foul. (I really do think there’s some latent implicit bias/prejudice in that but I digress.)
