yeah, the Keyes substitution will be remembered as the biggest gaffe. Honestly, I think he left Wood out there an inning or two too long also, but in the long run it doesn't matter.
Neither of these teams is gonna win after this exercise.
On a side note, Dicharry has been superb. He's allowed one hit and one walk in four-plus innings of work.
I don't wish to disrespect the Eagles. They've played superb. But they've only had three hits since the ninth. Meanwhile, we've had 10 or 11; I've lost count. We're threatening nearly every inning ... and choking nearly every inning. It's soulcrushing to watch.
Thankfully, our pitchers are made of sterner stuff. They keep coming back and getting out after out. I dunno how they're doing it. As I said several innings ago about Wood, this team doesn't deserve them right now.
