Joe Ciampi – Women's Basketball Hall of FameTo me the color guy sounds like Floyd the Barber on the Andy Griffith show.
Thanks for the insight. Serious question though: is there any WBB coach from the 80s NOT in the Women’s Hall of Fame?Joe Ciampi – Women's Basketball Hall of Fame
The color guy is Joe Ciampi, coached at Auburn in the 80s
and is a member of the women's hall of fame. His teams were ranked in the top 10, competitive with LaTech, Virginia, Tennessee ... name is pronounced Champ-y. We/Jody beat him several times, as I recall.

I agree with you. It was great to get a win, but the game was outright sloppy at times, too many turnovers, etc. Texas actually let Auburn look respectful at times. At stated above, Texas should have won by at least 30! Hopefully, they were saving all their energy for Maryland.Meh...this was a win against a bad team. That is all.
As mentioned. Gaston is good this year.
Hold on there partner. You’re forgetting Sonja Hogg. All the SWC coaches not named Conradt or Sharp.
Oh really? Wow. Sarcasm is just not your thing I guess.70's and 80's were the pioneering days of womens collegiate basketball. Makes sense that most of those pioneers would be in the hall.
I enjoy any conference win and particularly a road one. This one was expected but there was a time not too many years ago where games like this weren’t a given so I’m going to enjoy the moment. Good win for our ladies. Good for Booker and Harmon and Jones. Historic win for Holle. We’re 17-2. But you do you.Meh...this was a win against a bad team. That is all.

It’s always good to win, especially those games you are supposed to. The ladies did just that. Just think if Texas had not won this one how the know it all forum coaches would be howling. It must be nice to have all the answers to fix what might be wrong. Oh well, it is what it is.I enjoy any conference win and particularly a road one. Gaston was good last year too. Just my opinion.
Still lots to be improved on... but that's how our season usually goes. We have a tendency to get better and better the deeper we go into the season. Looking forward to seeing what this team looks like in March. I think we'll all be pleased. It’s always good to win, especially those games you are supposed to. The ladies did just that. Congrats on the victory.
I like to look at it this way: the team now has enough talented depth that when a player or two has an off night, others will step up and fill the void and make us competitive. It's an enigma for sure, but a nice one to have I think.Yep. This team remains enigmatic to me. Carlton looked like a pro a few weeks ago and tonight looked like a freshman. Lee is a sharp shooter and then a no shooter. Booker is up. Booker is down. Booker is up…. Oldacre had 2 points tonight. I don’t get it, but we’re 17-2 having only lost on the road against #2 and #3 and I still think we can take both of those teams in Austin. But they’re a mystery indeed.
Well, your stance is definitely what we all hope for except it didn't happen against SC. That was a total collapse of a game if I ever saw one and only one player scored in double figures. Hope it was an anomaly and that our mutual desired scenario happens the rest of the season!I like to look at it this way: the team now has enough talented depth that when a player or two has an off night, others will step up and fill the void and make us competitive. Yes. It’s on LHN App.Was there a post-game press conference for the Auburn game?
"Total Collapse" is a bit strong. Fundamentally, we were competitive. We just couldn't shoot worth a damn.Well, your stance is definitely what we all hope for except it didn't happen against SC. Wow! Reporters were apparently not interested in reporting.Texas Women's Basketball Postgame Press Conference vs Auburn

When I mentioned "total collapse", I was referring to the team's inability to score, (except for Oldacre). Should have been clearer, I guess."Total Collapse" is a bit strong. Fundamentally, we were competitive. We just couldn't shoot worth a damn.
Cool feat.
