Texas at TCU May 7-9, 2021

Well, that was a bit more exciting than I wanted, but we did get the result we wanted. Another W tomorrow and it will get very interesting. Mrs. HHD has some gardening Honey-Dos for me tomorrow, so I'll have to check in on the game as best I can - the rest of you zealots cheer hard and I'll chime in when I can.

Hansen's had a hot hand in recent games. Wonder if he gets the start tomorrow?

We've got Hansen, Kolby and Stevens. 2 out of 3 will start, and the 3rd can be a reliever in either game. Cole and Wenzel have also not been used in this series yet.

I don't remember this much pitching depth for quite some time. But there are plenty of things I don't remember.

^^^^ Nail biter and critical win fer shure... let's get 'er done on Sat.

All gas no brakes!

He is a rather intense young man on the diamond.

NIXON IS ALL BUSINESS!!!

I LIKE IT!

Wasn't it already announced that it would be Stevens, then Hansen? I have confidence in both. Great start to the series, but please, a little more timely hitting in the next couple of days.

That atmosphere was crazy last night. Love seeing things get back to normal and this was classy by TCU.

Plenty of 'horns down' last night to go with those thoughts and prayers. Cowtown aggies is what they are.
All the students they bring in from California must have really changed the makeup of their student body. They used to be almost all class.

It’s hard to turn them down when they pay full dollar tuition and think they’re getting a bargain.

After giving up 2 in the bottom of 2nd, Horns lead off 3rd with back to back base but bunts. Antico tags from 2nd on sac fly and scored on overthrow. We manufactured a run but down 2-1 after 2 1/2.

The Texas Christian crowd is downright sedate compared to last night. I guess their lunchtime Bible studies and an extra helping of potato salad helps to keep them calm.

Should have made this a night game too.

Enter TCU P Marcelo Perez with his 6.00 ERA. (but he also brings his mid-90s fastball...)
:yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes:

That 2-1 loss wasn’t Stevens’ fault. And we put plenty of men on base. We just couldn’t bring them in.
