Texas at KSU on Wed

WHAT THE WORLD IS GOING ON!?!?!? Is that score correct at half? 23 to 42 KSU? O my!

Better play in the third quarter but not going to pull this one out if they can't stop KSU. KSU is as hot tonight as they were cold against Kansas.
 
This is an example of what separates Aston from Mulkey and Texas from Baylor. You will never see Baylor lay an egg like this. Texas wasn’t ready. Sloppy. Uninspired. Didn’t appear to change strategically during the game. So frustrating to watch.
It makes a person wonder if this is as good as it gets.
 
Ah, well, time to flush this one down the drain. KSU was stellar. Don't recall them shooting so well from BTA before.
 
KState was on fire tonight shooting 54%. We got caught sleeping and just couldn’t get a stop. What a shame.

Reload and get ready for TCU.
 
Followed up what I thought was our gutsiest win of the year with what is probably our worst loss of the year. I felt like everyone not named Danni Williams was checked out today (coaches included). Bonehead turnovers coupled with some poor coaching decisions doomed us from the start. Not sure why we waited so long to press since we got down big early, not sure why we put a frosh on one of the best pg's in the B12 down the stretch, and not sure why we haven't gone to a different defensive game plan when our m2m is not working. We went to our 2-1-2 zone a few times and had mixed results, but it was a lot better than our m2m had been.

The scout to beat us has been the same for years, don't turn the ball over, play a tough extended zone and shoot the 3. While KSU was hot from bta at 50+% they still could've won comfortably shooting in the 30's.

I know being down two potential starters this season diminished our ultimate goals for this season, but at some point the program has to get to a level where we don't drop games like this.

Back to the drawing board and getting better. No sense in letting this game beat you twice!

3 years now and Joyner hasn't been taught basic fundamentals of basketball. Maybe because Tiffany is a young coach, but teaching is a lot different than playing the game and it's a different skill set so hopefully this will improve over time.

Terrible decisions from the start to the finish. To get totally humiliated by KS like this was embarrassing. If I was a top 2020 recruit I personally would really question if I would consider plaing for Aston. This type of performance can not help recruiting.

No, the coaches were not on the court. But the turnovers are partially attributable to the coaches. We have had excessive turnovers for years. We play fast and more turnovers are to be expected sometimes. However, it seems that we have a ton of stupid turnovers that should be correctible, not repeated game after game.
 
I don't think playing fast is the best thing for this team. Ariel, Brooke and LaShann aren't around anymore.

I hate to say it but I have to agree with you. She makes terrible decisions. She constantly tries to make the sensational play instead of just completing a fundamental move or pass. And why oh why does she keep trying to shoot the 3. She has only made 3 this year.
