Texas at Houston

Not sure why I’m thinking about him, but I’m wondering what DBU’s coach, Dan Heefner, is doing tonight. Prolly just enjoying his team’s win over Air Force earlier today, not to mention his team’s #15 national ranking. Well, good for him, I hope he’s having a better evening than we are

DBU must have more NIL $ than Texas, that's why they have a better team and ranked higher. :rolleyes1:

A lot of red flags in this program right now both on and off the field. Bad look for Pierce and, ultimately, he’s responsible.

I was at the Saturday BYU game, we sat close to the Horn's dugout. My bride is not a sports fan, the only reason she attends games is because I drag her along. But even she noticed how dead that dugout appeared and how uninspired the players appeared to be. Even when they crawled back within two runs there just didn't seem to be any fire out there.

If NIL $$$ is part of the problem, then why? This program's history combined with the region it draws recruits from, plus a national recruiting base? Why is the money not there? Kinda makes me think the big cigars are waiting on a change at the top.

NIL $ is an excuse. my reference was a joke. There are a number of teams ahead of us that don't have the NIL UT has but some how outperform us. I mean i'm just guessing but you think UC Irvine, East Carolina, Duke, Coastal Carolina, Louisiana all have better NIL $ than UT? I don't think so. The problem isn't NIL $.

From the article, sounds like Pierce cut Fontenot for lack of effort, work ethic between games.

There have been red flags and warning signs in this program all the way back to the 2019 season (an ignominious last place finish in the Big 12). He needs to go.

I don’t think our BIG cigars care about much more than football, and a bit about men’s basketball. I don’t sense that baseball is on their radar. An exception is the guy who donated all that $$$ for the player development facility.

We should chip in on a gift for Mr Pierce

For what The University has paid him and the results received, he can buy his own damn truck. The money you're raising can be used in better ways. "Outplacement" is a beautiful thing.)
