Teacher dilemma: how to proceed with assault?

At my school, if a kid is really being that bad, you can call the coaches and they'll pull the kid out and make them run in the middle of class.

Problem is, although the athletics kids can be poos sometimes, it's usually they kids who have no sports or anything to hold over their heads that are the real shits.

seriously WHAT. THE. ****?

There is no freaking way you are posting legitimate thoughts on this board.

Your last comment had literally NOTHING to do with the orginal post, or thoughts of it and frankly I am getting the impression that you love to threadshit.

You either are the most cloistered & boring person ever to live in the U.S., having never made a mistake in your life, or you are purposely trying to cause controversy with your posts.

There is no possible way you could have taken that railroad tie comment for anything other than coaches teaching discipline and respect for teachers- and most likely that “punishment” occurred while on the football team. If you want to stay on the team you respect your teachers. That message is very clear cut for those of us who played H.S. sports. Screw up and you get additional workout time that may teach you to not mouth off to a teacher next time.

BTW, my soccer coach made us run 15 windsprints up the bleachers if we had less than a C average, OR, got detention for anything other than tardiness. The message worked, you did your classwork, or you wouldn’t be on the team.

Getting back to the original point, I still feel that this incident is just too trivial to put the hammer down on. Let it go, and maybe concentrate on your performance plan instead.

Let it go. A close family friend was assaulted by the same student on 3 separate occasions. These assaults resulted in surgery and she was ultimately forced to retire due to the injuries and is still disabled from them. The teacher filed the student removal thing you referenced after the first one and the principal ignored it. Same thing happened between 2 and 3.
