It's no different than some dumb Kluxer saying "Get a rope."
Hoffa is being Hoffa. There was no nuance to it. He meant what he said. Union leadership has declared war on those who call for a smaller federal footprint (as a larger federal presence strengthens union positions). Hoffa - like the Poverty, Inc. coalitions, Larry Summers type big gov. multi-national/big bank bailout crony capitalists spokesmouths - don't like the small government tea party types. They lose money if the tea party wins. They are willing to call small government advocates terrorists, declare war on them, and threaten violence.
It's coming to a head. With Europe on the edge of collapse and our banks up to their eyeballs with risk if that happens, big gov will be looking to bail out the banks again.
Bailing out the banks, AIG, the auto companies was the GENESIS of tea party anger. It was originally directed at the banks, Bush and Congress. The continued attempt to inflate the Ponzi scheme by the powers that be is the central source of the tea party angst.
Hoffa should be concerned. His skimming will be severely scrimped if the tea party had its way. He's a corrupt piece of **** who makes his money because he has access to this Administration. It helps some of his union members, but mainly it just makes him richer.
His "army" would crumble and most would join the tea party movement if presented with the corruption represented by guys like Hoffa. But our Press is a bunch of neutered ninnies, so they stay away from stories that might upset their masters.
