Stop Loss ( Hollywood in general)

I browsed your post. You never find a place where I "state" what you claim that I stated. It is consistent with the rest of your posts, it neither says nor proves what you want to believe that it does.

The Siege, Peacemaker and True Lies are all Hollywood productions with Islamic terrorists.

2 of those movies bombed at the box office.

I think this is a good thread. OP has made and continues to make some excellent points, and there have also been some effective counter-arguments.

The only really ridiculous thing I've read on here was the idea that Hollywood only worships the almighty dollar and that every movie is released with the purpose of making money. That is absurd. Hollywood has a definite agenda and it is an extremely liberal one, no matter what your politics are.

Certainly there are a few conservative/libertarian people in Hollywood, but they are vastly outnumbered by the liberal party line.

By the way, both Good Night, Good Luck and Rendition are exceptional films.

I don't really worry too much about the political leanings of the creative types behind the movies. I will evaluate a movie by how well the story is told and if the story has some truth to it.

I do not like movies where the story is warped to pursue a political agenda. I do not like period piece movies where major historical facts are changed. I do not like science fiction movies that have outstanding special effects but have a crappy story.

If the movie studios want to make some money, they would be better off changing the war theater to Afghanistan. There has to be a hell of story there about the special forces activities during the ousting of the Taliban.

And just for reference, I like both the Bond and Bourne series.

Thank you citizen Joe Fan for your valuable information regarding the iniquitous motives of Hollywood. Keep up the good fight!
