STATS - Horns' Commit Bijan Robinson

This is borderline ridiculous. It's like all of the coaches kids and his better athlete friends are all on the same team in pee wee football. Color me skeptical until Bijan hits a college practice. This screams Johnathan Gray all over the place. Way too much hype....
I think there is a Bijan effect that when a player sees Bijan 15 yards away or more, that player knows he is uncatchable and does not pursue. No one can tackle him head-on 1 on 1.

Citation, please. He has been all over the country at various all star camps, but I do not know if he has been timed in the 40 yard dash.

I know what I see, though. Check the 5 Star camp video above. He makes his best contemporaries look like they just lost their baby booties the day before. If he is truly a 4.77 in the 40 (which he is not), almost everyone else is a 5.0, at best.

Let me add an Average White Guy review to help you along:

According to this his 40 time is 4.48. TrojanSports - Four-star RB Bijan Robinson's interest in USC dates back to Reggie Bush

I've gone on record from the summer saying the California kid who committed to Georgia was the best RB I saw as far as film goes. I'm tempted to switch my pick to Bijan, but I want to see how he performs at the all star games first. Just can't trust his numbers against the competition he has thus far faced. I lived in Utah for several years, I know how a talented kid can look all world when facing the less talented out west.

I also know that during the 5 star challenge he made a lot of equally talented guys look really foolish. I want to see him in pads facing the best of the best then I will judge him.

Yes, and don't call me Shirley

Yo Mama named you Shirley, I'm gonna call you Shirley.

Milton from California is a BEAST !!!!!!!! Robinson is playing as a man among boys, so won't know if he is real or not until he gets to college .... McClellen kid going to OU is a stud too. Not sure I spelled their names right.

I'm thinking, and I hope y'all give me a little lattitude(not attitude:lmao:) , that Milton and Evans are the best then followed by mclellen and perhaps Bijan who plays against the weakest competition so we don't know. He may prove to be the best or bust but if I were in Herman's shoes I would recruit him also. Georgia got a steal.

Bijan is as large as Milton with better cuts and more speed. There is a reason Rivals moved him to #1 over Milton.

But Bijan is down to 23 yds. per carry and only 29 TD in 69 carries. He will come back, I am sure.

Like I said, I don't really pay attention to the competition part mainly because we just don't know how suspect it is. Highlights are just that, highlights, it doesn't show the backs doing pass protection or what happens when blocking isn't perfect. It shows long TD runs. So what I look for is things that show me their attributes. How do they use blockers, do they have good vision. Ability to cut, and how are they at accelerating out of their cuts. Can they catch the ball with their hands or do they let the ball go to their body? Do they break tackles.

I learned more about Evans watching the Katy game then I ever learned in his highlights. Katy overwhelmed North Shore and the moment he was up against the wall, his demeanor changed and he lost all leadership skills he had (if he ever had any). He has some incredible talent, but he isn't a leader and it showed even before his outburst after the game.

It's been a while since I did all my film watching of the other runningbacks this year. I'm looking forward to seeing how each does when the all star games begin. It's not the best indicator, but generally when these guys get together, pride takes over and they want to show their peers and the world who the best is.

I saw the same thing in the title last year. The defense was geared to stop him and they did, he got very frustrated.

I also saw JQJ play and it was very apparent he was the best athlete on the field in that game as only a junior.

Bijan to hip hop. Last part with stars and stripes epaulets is against Casa Grande:
(Warning of extreme silliness around 0:42)

And this is Casa Grande highlights:

Lathan Ransom is #8 and 2021 OT Jonah Miller is #75.

Here is the first game for Kendall Milton (Blue #2) back from an earlier injury this season. Opponent is ranked #14 in CA. I do see strong legs when he gets caught, which is often in this game. Not seeing that glide he had in an earlier highlight reel from last year, but this is most likely a better defense. His jump cuts are non-existent here.

Hands down right now, I will take Bijan by far.

maybe because he's injured you don't see strong legs? This game puts any that Bijan plays in to shame. I do think Bijan got maybe 150 plus in the state championship last year (no TDs) against the powerhouse that wins state every year.

Salpointe beats Canyon del Oro 35-0. Bijan had a couple of long runs, but maybe only a couple hundred yards. Bijan had 80 and 69 yard runs plus two short runs to score the first 4 TD.
