Congress Sucks but not MY Rep

The real problem is illustrated here. 76% of Americans polled think most members of congress do not deserve to be re-elected. However, 53% of those same savvy individuals think THEIR representative is doing a good job and deserves re-election. Thus nothing changes and we're left with a full deck of jokers.

good link dheiman. I would point out that the 76% is the lowest rating it has had in 19 years. the previous low the link mentions was in August at 70%. So that is dropping and very low. Which backs up my main point that the public opinion of Congress overall is very low right now.

Now yes the poll is a little bit reversed in terms of how the polsters felt about their local representative. However the 53% is still historically low as the link mentions. It may be higher than expected based on the previous # but it is still very low compared to what it has been in the past.

The reason for the low congressional ratings is that there are very few moderates left. They were all booted out for approving Pelosi's healthcare debaucle.
